    R9 vs Demo 8

I rode a R9 with an avalanche rear shock and found it to have great feeling and working rear suspension, it was amazingly plush initially, but ramped up nicely. It handled rough, rocky, rooty trails easily.

    Morewood Izimu vs. IH Sunday

Which bike would be best for some general resort dowhill riding and racing and some backwoods putting around (freeriding)? The adjustable geometry of the Moorewood seems like it would help it work well for both racing and some freeriding while the dw-link on the Sunday seems like it might make...

Okay, I think I am going to go 36-hole Sun MTX on a 36-hole Hadley. Should I go 36 or 108 point engagement on the Hadley?

So is the 729 stronger than a MTX? I am not really interested in anything lighter, it would only last me a month at the outside and I am not too bothered by weight. I think I will go with the hadley and the stinky is a qr not 12mm unfortunately.

BigDawd-Tell me more about the DT Swiss FR 6.10's dhkid-I have rhyno lites and they can't be compared to MTX's, I went through 2 Rhyno lites in one week on my hardtail. frznnomad-these will be going on a kona stinky dee-lux, and maybe in the future a Sinister R9 or a Turner Dhr, both also...

    Are the hope hubs convertible?

    Rim Indecision

I am interested in the hadley because it is convertible from 10mm(what I have now) to 12mm for my next bike. Are there any other hubs that do this? My one concern is that I cracked a d521 because of the harder alloy, sun rims have a softer alloy so they only dent or flatspot and are still...

    Rim Indecision

I need a new rear wheel (36 hole) and am thinking about the Sun MTX and the Mavic EX729. I am also wondering if a Hadley hub is worth the extra $220 over the shimano deore. Any opinions?

    everything breaks

That is what I was trying to say, that steel's fatigue limit is high enough that it can be ridden normally without accumulating the damage that an aluminum frame would.

    everything breaks

It breaks, just from abuse or larger hits. An aluminum bike can break from relatively easy use if it is ridden for long enough. A steel bike doesn't accumulate damage like aluminium.

    everything breaks

You figured it out, all alumninum bikes fatigue with use and will eventually break. This is why steel is great. It has a tolerance so normal riding doesn't slowly wear out a frame.

    PDC Freeride frame

Anybody know anything about this bike? How many sizes does it come in, will it fit someone who is 5'7"?

    1.5 stem issues

The fancy system happened to be cheap on the bike, it's just the parts that aren't.

It goes against my morals and religion.

    1.5 stem issues

Hoping for a new stem, I also don't really like ebay.

    1.5 stem issues

I am having trouble finding a cheap 1.5 50mm 31.8 stem. The lowest price I have found is $60 for a FSA stem which seems much too pricy to me. Any ideas?

Is Middleburn planning on coming out with an external bearing crankset soon?

    VP FREE size question

Definitely go small, I am 5' 7" and rode a medium with a 60mm stem and it felt huge, way bigger than my 17" stinky dee lux.

    2006 cranks

Aren't middleburns isis (or did you have a different bb idea)? The main reason I am looking for new cranks/bb is because I want a setup with more durable bearings so they don't have to be continually replaced like isis.
