The big space is there because of all the other info like your location, join date, avatar, etc. You'd have to scroll just as much whether it's aligned to the top or bottom.
No, no, 5 strings on a bass comes in handy.
I run a 3" on my mountain uni, but that's the only "travel" I get. On a bike, it really would seem rather pointless...other than for the squishy factor...squiiiiiishy.
It's not a very good idea to run clipless pedals. None of the people who race wear them...and you won't be able to keep up with anyone riding a bike if you're racing against them :-P. Generally you want platform pedals..and shin guards. Your feet fall off the pedals a bit easier.
I still like...
Did you try it any later in the day? I still beat you on treadmill bc wheeling...:-P. I think I've decided to make my own, rather than order it from bedford...I wanted to try building a wheel anyway. Ahh! this will actually fit in a truing stand! hopefully...stupid unicycle axels.
I think I...
Eh, I've never had much luck with bikes, but unicycles have worked out well...I'd say they're anything but boring, you don't have to go slow, and comfort, well that's just a matter of your seat ;-) (Schwinn seats suck). And you get to laugh at djp.1 while riding up a steep hill. *smirk*...
Well if you looked at my avatar and my sig, you might figure out why :-P.
a lot of it isn't just brute leg strength, more endurance, considering you can't coast and all. well, not very easily anyway. It does take brute strength to go up a very steep hill though.

A rootbeer unicycle...who'da thunk. 'tis not mine, but it ain't bad...I think it's got a profile racing hub, one of the better ones you can get on a unicycle...
Looks great...how about stocking unicycles? :-P. j/k. From a design standpoint it feels a little bit crammed...especially if anyone wanted to up the font size at all, it gets kinda messy. But I like the overall look :-).
I wouldn't mind a 36" unicycle (coker). They rock. I'd go for a geared one, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper to get a 36" because a geared one that more or less is equivelant to a 36" would be a wee bit more custom. And thus quite expensive. Meh. Must. Go. Faster!
Yes, then you've give me the unicycle with spinners. *drool*. See, that would be classy. None of these silly looking bikes..all about the pimpin' unis. Like this one: http://community.webshots.com/photo/101269967/101270723wegbRK .
D.
Hey, Ryan, do you think you shall be riding today?
I was quite pleasently suprised...to come from pod racing lunatics who can't act worth crap, to demented aliens with a speach impediment and floppy ears, and then to this, isn't actually all that bad. Admittedly there were some horrible/hysterical things in it...like R2D2's newfound ability to...
My haggard plywood has been applyed (ha, pun) to your attempts at a backflip. And I blame you, because I had to come home and take a shower to stop itching.
*claps*
Given some of the things people can sue for, I'd be careful what you said. I know people who have been kicked out of college for away messages on IM about their roommate...not that I think you'll actually get in trouble. But precautions are equals a good thing!
Very well stated DH...not that I totally agree with you. But that's probably the best argument in the whole thread :-D. I should have known I could create dissent. Unicyclists in a biking forum always get a reaction. Bwahaha.
