I'm just going by the explanation the Avy dude gave. I'm sure he knows more than just about anyone out there. Makes sense to me, and in my own experience seems about right.
Having no preload is not ideal. You want anywhere from 1-2 turns with the proper spring rate. That way the suspension can rebound all the way back to the top of the travel, thus giving you more usable travel.
plus, if you run no preload, it means you have to go to a higher spring rate, which...

they've been shipping them out with dents in the headtube and other places. From what I hear, it's the painters that mangled them and then the packaging was hiding the defects.
The fact that Transition is not inspecting every frame before heading out the door is a bit alarming and dishonest...

Word. Engineers in CATIA can't ever assume that the real world is going to be even slightly perfect. Must be why so many of the Mag Ellsworth rockers were snapping. Looked great in a structural analysis program, pure fail-boat in real world manufacturing and riding.

Looks to me to have just the right amount of anti-squat. If it were any lower, then there would be no point in having the idler. It would kick the pedals constantly.

Anyone else think the revolt looks janky in person? Looks way better in pics, which is usually the opposite for bikes.
