No bindage on this Obtainium spring

I'm just going by the explanation the Avy dude gave. I'm sure he knows more than just about anyone out there. Makes sense to me, and in my own experience seems about right.

No bindage on this Obtainium spring

Having no preload is not ideal. You want anywhere from 1-2 turns with the proper spring rate. That way the suspension can rebound all the way back to the top of the travel, thus giving you more usable travel. plus, if you run no preload, it means you have to go to a higher spring rate, which...

    2010 glory

Nice looking Sunday! Seriously Giant. Design your own damn bikes.:mad: I also love how Giant downsized their pivot bearings too. 6 months must be too long to go without changing your bearings. Typical Giant. All show and no balls.

    Tokul (West) FYI

Logging takes away tons of nutrients. Gotta put it back in and then take it away again in a few years. Pretty f-ed up cycle.

Add a new tyre to my repertoire?

Looking at those too. I hear they hook up in corners great but also roll fast as hell and excavate good when braking. Looks like some good potential for modding the block profile on them too. I agree with DW though. If you don't plan on pedaling up anything, nothing really beats the...

Anyone try this new DH racer clothing?

CLD noticed the obvious market opportunity and bought out TLD. Quite the natural progression, as TLD proved through tons of R&D that clown based attire worked best for shaving seconds off a DH race run. Anyone else wonder if someone could win more with less bagginess, when WC times get...

Anyone try this new DH racer clothing?

If you want to be noticed, go for this! Plenty baggy and should intimidate your competition. I might try one for the Whistler DH race this summer. Sweet Clothes: Click here

    new covert

they've been shipping them out with dents in the headtube and other places. From what I hear, it's the painters that mangled them and then the packaging was hiding the defects. The fact that Transition is not inspecting every frame before heading out the door is a bit alarming and dishonest...

2010 Marzocchi is back! 6.8lb adjustable shimstack 888!

Did anyone else see the price? Dorado, here we come! £1399.95 = $2248.32 In other words, your 888 is going to weigh the same unless you spend and extra $1000. Well worth some Ti bits. ;)

Duthie build day on jump line: Tues 6/23

No posting pics or videos of new trails, on forums. Thank you. Edit: Can't wait to check this place out! Should be pretty sick if it has the Colonnade guys working on it.

    my "new" boxxer is kaputt

Word. Engineers in CATIA can't ever assume that the real world is going to be even slightly perfect. Must be why so many of the Mag Ellsworth rockers were snapping. Looked great in a structural analysis program, pure fail-boat in real world manufacturing and riding. Must also be why products...

Corsair Maelstrom Hammer - Built and Ready to Ride - Review - Lets see your 09 FR Rig

Looks to me to have just the right amount of anti-squat. If it were any lower, then there would be no point in having the idler. It would kick the pedals constantly.

    Evil Revolt or Morewood Makulu?

Yup, and still think it looks hideous. Then again, I don't think wearing DH clown suits is cool either, so maybe my good taste is in the minority around here.

    Evil Revolt or Morewood Makulu?

Anyone else think the revolt looks janky in person? Looks way better in pics, which is usually the opposite for bikes. It just feels like an engineering pretzel. Not too impressed on the design/looks, but I'm sure it rides great.
