Measurement request, latest fox 36 and a pair of 8" (200mm) or larger calipers

That is 100% cool. Nice work Englertracing! Once you have evaluated it, I would love to know how it stacks up with the 38 class single crowns.

That might be closer to a bidet? I think an enema requires a bulb.

Pictures of you riding a mountain bike (Any wheelsize and type of MTB allowed)

Sasquatch Jr. hitting a small hip jump at Killington this year. I wish I could have done that when I was 8! Strider bikes for the win! I'm guessing 3 more years if he stays interested in DH, and I won't be able to keep up with him.

    The garage frame building journey

I would say the DRO install was more tedious than difficult. I got this set from precision matthews. You can get a similar set from dropros.com. Or touch DRO has a kit that comes with an android display tablet, and talks to the scales through bluetooth. There is cheaper stuff on amazon...

    The garage frame building journey

I have not been working directly on the frame for a while, but spent some time on shop tools. I put a power feed on x axis of mill. You can't do everything on the x axis, and better machines have power feeds on all axis, but this is great when you can use it. I put a DRO on the lathe...

Measurement request, latest fox 36 and a pair of 8" (200mm) or larger calipers

Thats awesome if you build up a 36 on that! Hab's short travel 40 level cool. I don't have 8" calipers, but measurement with a tape measure on my new 36 puts it between 7 1/16" and 7 1/8", so likely the same as you measured.

What have you broken on your bike recently?

If you weld it, the welding kills the frame's heat treat. I think it would be hard to come up with a scientific answer to the question of which is stronger - running a bead over that crack assuming the weld is not followed up with heat treatment, or leaving it in the heat treated state, with...

This is what's right with The Industry®

A few years ago, my wife and I went up to Mass for a weekend, so she could have a birthday party with a bunch of her writing friends. We got there early in the afternoon, in time for me to have a bike ride with the husband of one of my wife's friends, on their local trails, while the ladies...

    2018 Demo wheel offset?

Random hub picture from the internet. I think what you are saying is correct. Use 31.8 and 22.2 in this example. Calculate it like that for your hub, then calculate your hub normally with no offset. Compare the spoke lenghts. If the offset drive side spokes are N mm longer, and...

Compatibility with saints for sure. The package for the bash guard would need some fine print from the legal beagles. "Bash guard is not intended to make contact with the ground, rocks, logs, or any other solid object. Any contact may result in scratches, and beryllium dust contacting...

    EXT Inverted Fork

That was my experience with the fork. Not much difference. I think that was my most regretted bike purchase. I did an experiment, and crudely added carbon fiber to the arch/leg guard assembly to try to stiffen it. I tried just a little at first, and with not much improvement, added a...
