What was up with the Spec'y tent, too top secret?? Give me a break. Cool feature otherwise, & what, 6-7 lbs of mud on Minnaars bike after his run, damn!
Not a 2010, but my 08 frame (large), with the same TT length does not feel too big for me at 6'-1". This after coming off a med Sunday, which was close to too small. The measurements do seem odd.
Intenseman, how you liking yours so far? Visor looks a bit flimsy, is that the case? Yeah Butch, the visor does look a bit under designed, maybe I could tack a trimmed TLD on there ; )
So, in the market for a new XC lid & saw the Urge Enduro helmet in the December Dirt Mag. Can't seem to find anything about them or anyone who sells them online? Any Monkey's out there have a lead for me?? Looks like a nice helmet with a bit of added protection.
Cheers,
Stu
Another vote for the Dakine Nomad. Belt system is second to none, stays in place & does not flop around on your back. I've had mine for 3 seasons now, still holding up like new!

So, how does the format work? I see there are 5 courses, & I assume the 12 hour race / result is based on how many runs you get in. So, are they alternating courses throughout the day, or is it pick & choose, or are certain courses for certain classes?
I'm interested because a few years ago...
Hey guys,
Just bought a used DOC frame & can't seem to find what size BB to use? I tried a standard Shimano 68 but the cranks still hit the frame.
Probably dumb question, but new to the hardtail thang!
Anyone?
I loved mine (both versions) with a Totem, was a super fun ride, especially in Whistler. I ended up with a BB height of 13 5/8". X-ups & tight areas were great!
I just got back from Oahu, wife & I tried to rent bikes (she is even from there, 20+ years) to do some XC riding, or even some shuttles, no dice, we searched & called every shop on that side of the island. The best bike I found was a Trek Fuel with v-brakes & scary tires. If you do swing a big...
Another TLD XC glove fan. Tried them all, these are by far the best. They outlast almost every other glove I have tried. TLD's & other brands DH specific gloves tend to last about a week before falling apart.
It's as good or better than most. On par with Turners, which are done at Olympic PC, which powder coats alot of companies frames. If you are always shuttling & stacking bikes, they are going to get scratched, no matter how good the PC is.
I found they are a half size too small when compared to all my other shoes, cycling & otherwise. I wear a size 11 skate shoe, size 45 Shimano cycling shoes, which are similar to size 11's, but had to go 11.5 for the 5.10's. I originally bought the 11's & wore them for a weekend, but they were...
Been on that set up all summer, works awsome. I run 1 spacer under the cleats, no additional trimming of the shoes needed. I run Shimano XC shoes as well, the pins add a nice, extra stability on them as well.
Go with the new Cane Creek 110. I had the same loosening problem with Kings, both on my DH bike & my 6" travel trail bike. The new 110 locks in nicely & I have beat them to death for 6 months without a complaint.
Turner Highline & Cove STD are a couple more that are 83mm BB & 150 rear. Used & new VP free's are going pretty cheap on e-bay & elsewhere & are decent.
