How's the cornering grip on those tires? I Like the weight of those tires. I can knock of 1/2lb just from those tires and still have the fatness I want for the rock gardens and cornering grip needed for racing Super D @ Big Bear.
I like Kenda Sticky E 2.35's I think they are 785grams or so. I run that up front and IRC Mythos 1.95's in the rear and those are around 510gm or so.
The WTB Mutando Raptor is 2.4 and claimed 590gm. Not sure on the quality or lifespan of that rubber.

Some people like to huck and jump, some people like techical trails and challeges, some like both. Unfortunately I don't have logs and stunts to jump over when I live 6 miles from the beach. I have to drive 90 minutes to the mountains for those trails when this is 2 block from my door.
I've had ALOT of close calls on this hill. Most of it is loose rocks and only one good line and gravity is a bitc* if you lose control.
There is a switchback trail on the top that goes down the west side, but needs to be trimmed ALOT. I got down a few turns and I couldn't see the trail anymore.
Here are some pics of the hill I play on. Part of the Black Mt Ridge in San Diego. Topographs show that it's 1000ft above sea level and drops too 100-120ft at the bottom All in less then 3/4 mile (roughly 45* slope decent):D

when we were racing up there last weekend, it was in the newpapers that the local businesses was lossing $$ due to lack of MTB traffic that normally flows through that place. The entire area looked like a ghoat town other then the XC racers in the parking lot. I think I saw under 10 riders...
it's 35lbs limit
