I'm heading out there on Thurs/Fri April 24-25. I'm renting a bike.. I wanted to go DH, but the guys at the shop said no shuttles on weekdays unless I have a big group of people:disgust:
Is anyone going to be shuttling those days? If so, PLEAAASE let me know. peace
check out the latest issue of Mountain Bike Action. They have a good writeup on pump tracks..
Also, download the video of Mark Weir's pump track from leelikesbikes. This guy can RIP
Yo Chico, I have about 200lbs in the back shock of my fully, so it's kinda stiff. You can hear it compressing on hard pumps, but you can still rip... it's just more work... I have a Chameleon on the way though:)
I brought in 72,000 lbs of dirt (~$600), and it took 3 of us about two...
We rode my track for the first time this weekend. We've got a few changes to make, but it's awesome as is! You crank once or twice to get rolling, and then NO MORE pedalling! It beats you down too.. Great workout and soooo much fun...
yep, that's me! I'm just riding trials down here obviously, but it's good, because I'm focusing on it alot more and seeing progress.
i'll be riding DH in Vail in the first week of July, so let's try and meet up.

not many peeps roll a suspension fork for trials. however, I run one on my urban short bike and I love it. It's a cheap manitou skareb 80mm, with the compression turned up all the way. it's perfect and it's taken many big hits no problem.
if you have a marz, check out www.ryanleech.com and...
" Something changed over one winterSomething changed over one winter , and come the next season, vail closed them all down, and threatened riders with fines and punishment should they be caught riding those trails. Even the trail builders were chased down, and threatened with criminal charges."...
sucks dongoose about old nine line. that was the best trail.. steep and technical. they need to get Radio Flyer and all the other old ones running again. If they had permission once, why not now?
If all you're trying to do is hop in place or forward on both wheels, try thinking about "banging" your handlebars when you jump. this hip action should shoot the bike forward a couple inches.
btw, this forum sucks. If you want faster replies and more info check out observedtrials net
911- when you get to Vail, hit up Wheelbase and ask Jay what the scoop is. You can get involved in the builds, which should be starting soon. Last summer, they held volunteer trail crews on Wednesday's. They provide you with free beverages and a lunch and after 6 volunteer days, you've earned...
