I had my septum pierced forabout 5 hours. The night it got done the retainer got caught on my pillow while I was sleeping & it got ripped out.
It hurt.
This is my latest commuter. 1987 Specialized Rockhopper, fixed, brakeless. Brakeless was an experiment but has worked out so well that I have kept going. Anyway, it is a fun ride& cost less than AU$300 to build.
On the steepest sections I'd say we got to about 50+km per hour, the track was very rocky, rutted, loose & while not as technical as your competition freeride/dh tracks gave both riders & guide a good case of arm pump & there were a couple of spills.
It is rated as the most advanced track...
It cost $320NZ, so about $290AU. Can't say for $USA. The only complaint I have is that isn't any cheaper if you bring your own bike & do not use a hire bike (I brought my own).

I am 27 & have 7 month old twin boys. They were unplanned & honestly I thought I would never have kids. It is a lot of work & worry, they were 13 weeks early & every now & again I get a case of 'the grass is greener' but any negative thoughts disappear when they smile or laugh at you.
I stayed for a while in Tokyo earlier this year & had a ball.
With the ATM, make sure you have a VIsa or Mastercard 'Debit' card (or credit card) as even the citibanks will not accept the 'cirrus' or 'maestro' standard. There are only 2 ATMs in central tokyo that do accept these standards &...
