Thanks for the head's up @konifere, just ordered one. At 5'7", I went for a size small. Reach is close to my medium hd5, which I find very comfortable. Never really cared about fatbike but I figured that at this price, even if I end up using it only 3-4 times every winter for a few years it'll...
Just so other monkey don't think I'm an asshole, canadmos ended up discussing via Pm.
On another note, you can get Five ten freerider and freerider pro at 40% through adidas website using the code SAVINGS . Its a pretty good deal I find.
EDIT : Just realized that if you order something that is...
Legit
That's the online store of a small chain od stores all located around the greater Montreal area. They have daily deals and legit (for Canada) sitewide sales a few times a year. I use them regularly. One of their location is actually 3 blocks away from my home.
Its a crown race for the 1-1/8 chris king headset on my road bike. They call it a "base plate". Shops around here don't carry it but they can order it for 72$ plus taxes and its gonna take 2-4 weeks to receive. That shop, Bike fit, sells it for 23$. I can't bring myself to pay 80$ for a crown...
Hey, random question, is there an Ontario monkey in Ste-Catharines? I'm looking for a rare part that a shop there seems to have. Poblem is they don't ship.
I'm curious about the shock extender. I'm hoping to use a 200mm x 57mm shock on a bike that needs 210mm x 55mm and I'm not finding anything aftermarket that would that.
I would go moar slackzz with a -2 headset. In my experience its steepenz the seat tube angle by close to the same thing, which is nice on them giantzz. For the reach, you could maybe compensate by slamming the shit out of that stem and go with a handlebar that is a little wider.
It might be because the bleeding technique is a bit different than Shimano or Sram. When you know how to do it, I would say its Shimano level of difficulty. NSMB has both a review of the brakes and an article on how to bleed them. Check it out if you're curious.
I suggest you look into Magura mt trail sport. They can be had for pretty cheap from ze germans. I got myself a set a few weeks ago and I like them a lot.
Hey all, would anyone have a pair of dead xt brake lever that I could canibalize for parts? I'm specifically looking for a set of lever blade. I'm running zee levers with xt calipers and the stock lever don't get close enough to the bar for my trumpy hands. Well they do, but its not comfortable...
Disagree, its the absence of visor that define a gaper. Goggleless full face(with visor) riders are the equivalent of the 1990's helmetless hockey players.
I don't have much to contribute to this thread other than to say that I was riding at MSA yesterday and saw two guys on DHRs. Man, they still look good in the wild(the bikes, not the guys). Not as shiny as more recent plastic bicyclette, but the classic design and the quality of the craftmanship...
Giant Reign with a -1 degree works headset (pics is somewhere in the bike picture thread). A bit Patrick Switchy on the climb but I really do not care. Its more fun when bicycletting down ze mountain. Angle headset also steepen the seat tube, which is a good thing on the Reign cause Giant are...
