i haven't ridden in a week and a half, i have an itch. i would like to ride on friday. just something short, like redbox to switzer maybe? or if i have time, maybe mt. wilson?
anyone interested in riding wed. morning at like 8:30 or 9? somewhere in the pasadena/la canada area? me and a buddy were thinking of just doing cherry. grizzle broke his leg, so we can't shuttle anything in the crest and my friend has a 65 stang that can't do a rack. if we can get someone...
his leg is broken. tibula on the left. he kept calling work and updating us. he's was pretty pissed. and to think, we were talking about broken bones just the last time i worked with him...
i was gonna do either a 66 or van36 for a single crown
BUT a co-worker of mine is selling a stance kingpin with the air elimination kit which i may buy. i may also go with some jr. ts then get the super t kit from marzocchi. i may also just go with a travis single intrinsic.
the DHX i'm...
yeah i got one too. but i broke the deraileur on the first ride. then grizzle made me a billet one. now i have no problems. i rode it today and it felt pretty good. the head angle is a little too steep. my front wheel feels like it wants to tuck. a taller fork would help. i plan on getting a dhx...
in california, home of the highest gas prices on the mainland, i pay $3.09 for the high octane 91. that translates to about $2.88 for regular. and those are the cheaper prices.
i wanna upgrade my 8 speed to a 9 speed and i have decided to go with sram shifters/deraileurs (x9 or x0). i haven't decided on a cassette to go with all this yet. just looking for something that shifts well. weight is important, but not a priority.
you would need a long for both. you MIGHT be able to get away with a med cage for your 2 ring, but you would need to be very very careful what gears you are riding in.
i am currently building an ih yakuza frame as a long travel trail bike. i have ordered a dhx5 coil for the rear giving me 7" of travel. i'm trying to decide now on a fork. i have been leaning towards the 66 for a little while now. since the swap from the 888 lowers, the 66 is looking nicer...
i just bought some intense DH in a 2.35. haven't got them on yet, cuz i'm still working on a broken bike, but i've heard some good things about it. from handling them i can see that the casing is very nice and pretty stiff. that would prolly make for good dh/fr tire pressures. one of my co...
i thought about the hone, but decided to opt against it. would GREATLY restrict what parts i could use.
i apologize for my post-in-anger. i called iron horse yesterday and they have overnighted some deraileur hangers to me. excellent customer service. i didn't even need them...
no, after seeing 5 sgs come in with broken hangers in 1 week and having to order a stock of various ih deraileur hangers. mine is just another in the plethora of ih with broken hangers we get.
i realize that the billet is a bad idea, which is why i had iron horse send me 3 new deraileur...
ok, after 10 min in my first ride on my ih yakuza, i broke the hanger. i went off a jump to get over some rocks and on the landing... i hear a loud BLING. i look down and there is a deraileur about to be chewed up by the crank. i've had the bike for 2 days and rode it for 10 min and now it's...
