Well, before the ride today, I put most of the spacers above the stem (there were several below it in the pics I posted) and the bars felt to be in a good spot. I may consider getting a 1" rise bar instead of the 2", but it actually felt pretty spot on. Only more seat time will tell.

Day 1 first impressions:
- didn't take long for me to feel pretty dialed on this thing
- jumps great
- super nimble
- smooooth (I'm coming off a Demo 7 with the spacer removed and I don't feel like I've given anything up in terms of travel)
- awesome in steep techy stuff
- super stoked
I'm 6'3", but I just left space there so I can decide where the right position is after a few rides and then I'll cut the rest of the steerer down flush.
40# even as she sits currently, but I didn't really hold back on anything as far as weight goes. This will be my resort/shuttle bike, so I expected it to come in a few pounds heavier than most of the more pedal-friendly builds I've seen.

This seems like a no brainer to me. I just got the same '08 66 RC3 off Jenson for $499 as well...f'ing sweet fork. I've been on Totems the past few years and am stoked to be back on a 'zoke.
Unless you race and have access to Fox support at those races, I don't think a 40 is necessary. Yes, the rc2's feel great, but the lowers are just not durable. I saw a buddy today take a minor fall and the lower must have hit a rock and dented badly enough that they are trashed.

I'm usually between a 34 and 36 in pants/shorts depending on the brand. I got a pair of the Moto's in 36 and was glad as there was no way I'd come close to fitting in a 34.
Bottom line, if anything, they fit a bit smaller than the listed size.
