Morpheus DH bike - 32.3 lbs, carbon/kevlar, adjustable CS

Not to mention the fact that the aerodynamics arent just based on the "frame" alone, or bike alone for that matter... Seems like someone forgot that huge component called the "rider" in their calcs. Want to obtain a 1% increase in overall efficiency, based only on the aerodynamics of the...

    OldSchool Pics (History Lesson Kiddos)

Cool idea for a thread. In a mid- to late-80's issue of BMXA there was a local spot check on "Jones track" with a pic of some guy doing a perfect, killer table - I used to study that picture for hours on end. Unfortunately, I haven't found that issue in my archives... If you happen come...

    29.76 lbs Trek Session 88

Just wow. Why would anyone want or even need a license to practice professional engineering when the technical joy found in Ridemonkey Forums are just an internet connection away? Rhetorical question. I digress. Please, practice away.

Lessons to learn from Olympic Ski Cross for 4X

Yeah, but there's a pretty good reason why motocross was not on your list of disciplines of racing that work that way... It's the same reason it's a bad idea for 4x.

    Is the future Electric?

Completely agree. This thread just seemed like a good opportunity to post a link up to that custom electric powered beast! It's a work of art in my view, regardless of bicycle type.

    Broken talus bone

A couple of points: SteveDH is on point regarding the possibility of (avascular) necrosis with this bone - it may not get "a lot" of blood as was previously mentioned. Also, healing / recovery times can be rather prolonged, i.e. longer than most other typical fractures. Don't expect a...

    Resurrecting a fallen place

Get a flat shovel out and just start scraping off all of the grass and any of the silty soils that may have accumulated in the flatbottom. You'll then need to surface it all with some new clay. If you remove a lot of silts from between the jumps you may need to add some clay (an inch or two)...

Dig dug. My winter dig thread.

BRAP! "Your skill is extra-ordinary." Being the aficionado of all things "table top" that I am, I must convey my utmost appreciation. In other words, that F@#$ing rips! (I'm digging the style on yours as well Zach...) Nice work all around.

Granted, but he was still trying to be positive and gracious, and the interruptions didn't help that.

The Sorry Ass Concession Speech To Come...

Yep, classy speech. Supporters will be supporters, and I actually think he was a bit annoyed with their boos. Maybe that was just wishful thinking though.

    Obama Wins!

Glad you finally worked that out. It's ok, we'll wait for you. Yes, Mr. Mental Midget, the entire world with more than six functioning brain cells has worked out that a first term president HAS NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE AS PRESIDENT. But yeah, thanks for pointing that out Captain Obvious.
