Run the shock softer for traction, and if your going to do a big hit, just stop and dial in a couple clicks of compression damping, or in your case, crank the propedal.
I have a comp32 2.8" front, but i would say there are better tires for hardpack. Also, it strikes me as somewhat small, it measures closer to a 2.55 than a 2.8 My old WTB timberwolves were wider, and they were a 2.5.

hmm,well i just hope they are defining the XC bikes as a bike that weighs less than 35 lbs, with smaller than 2.5" tires and less than 6" of travel. Im running my marin that has 5.9" of travel front and rear, 2.4" tires, and weighs 33 lbs. :rofl:
I searched the whole sight, but i didn't see any mention of no DH bikes this year. I will assume that they are still not allowed, but i wonder if they are allowing people to take DH bikes on the fire roads?
I just picked up an 06' nissan frontier king cab 4x4, so far its a great shuttle vehicle. I'll be adding a T2 as soon as it arrives from thule, and ill post pictures. It needs a lift.

I've actually been riding for the last 3 months with no major issues, i just keep pushing a little bit more each time i ride, im being cautious though. No dirt jumps for a while.
