Good thread!
I sold my DH bike last year as i wasn't racing so much and it just wasn't getting the use. I've also decided to go for a Banshee Rune, looks like it'll take a kicking and not be too arduous on the climbs. I plan to build it up fairly light but i have a spare set of DH wheels which...
I see what you're saying but i'm sure if he didnt think he could go there and win, he wouldnt! Especially with all the hype surrounding him and that particular track.
Either way, its going to be 1 helluva battle!
Gwin has been awesome this year, i feel though that with Bronsan riding at the level he is at the age he is, has a slight advantage over the older boys and is the next big thing. I'm sure Gee and Greg will step up their game but this year they've pretty much had rug pulled from beneath their...
I agree, you do have to filter out things such as components when writing a review, but most of the time that along with geometry is his all he writes about. I also agree that what works for the author might not work for you or me but thats not really the point in a bike test. What he should be...
My criticism was more against the 4-bike test, however, would you seriously consider buying a bike on the strength of what that article says? Obviously noone relys solely on what they read before laying down the cash on a bike but c'mon, that article tells you nothing apart from its fairly...
What can i say, i read the Wilson test, like i did the supposed DH bike test in the previous issue and came away none the wiser. Do they actually ride the bikes or just take pictures of them? Not once does Jones mention how any of the bikes handle in a given situation, you just get the usual non...
I know what you mean. I rode the Sunday for 3years and loved it, it suited me perfectly. I decided to go with the Orange though as it was a chance to be on a good team. Most of the kit on the Orange is similar as i wanted to make it feel as similar as i could to the Sunday-wide bars etc. The...
Mate...i feel your pain!!
Last season was by far my best, despite wrecking my knee half-way through the season i still managed to get bumped up to expert. Fast fwd 6months, new bike etc etc and i'm getting beaten by people i was smoking last season. Now, i'll probably get slated for saying...
I put up a thread about this lastnight...should of checked!
The LSC on my brand new 40's doesnt appear to work, atleast not in a vaguely similar way to my old boxxer teams. Now i've yet to ride the forks offroad since i wound on some LSC but surely you should beable to feel a difference even...
I have more than you...
Yeah i'm well aware that the street test isnt the place to get the suspension sussed, i'm just making direct comparisons between the 2 forks thats all.
I've just recieved my new RC2's and am a tad curious as to how to set them up. I used to have boxxer teams and when you wound a few clicks of LSC you could feel a noticeable difference when bouncing up and down on the them on the street(ie, they felt solid), this doesnt seem to be the case with...
Oh yeah, forgot about that! Im pretty sure you could get it running in a similar way to the old Muddy Fox with some wee tweaks...i'd like to try a medium just to see if there's any difference. Are you gonna go for a factory frame?
I'll check the height next time im back home(i dont keep it in...
im running a 42tooth chainring and its an SRS device.there seems to be a rather large gap between the ring and outer plate,i reckon about 7-8mm-way larger than my old mrp,i dont understand why!
