you guys dont really seem to know bmx too well...
the "holes" on the side are not for oil, you cant even drip oil in them, they are so you can rebuild your freewheel. tighten your crank or chain so your crank cant spin super freely, but still smoothly, if your freewheel dosnt slip, than dont...
bend em back, i bent the hell out of an eastern bmx frame, they bent about 2 inches to the right! i took it to a machine shop and the guys let me use their torch to bend em back. burnt all the paint off, but it works fine now i guess, i have since sold that frame though.
okay, i have a pair of marzocchi z3 qr20's. lately i have been noticing that they kinda stick, i can shake the bike around and the forks wont contract, but when i go off a curb or something they work just fine, its like they are super stiff, but when i start jumping around they unstick and feel...
okay, i baught some pads at cost since i work a bike shop (although they are not hayes brand...), i put em in the front and they work fine, but they squeel like crazy in the rear, what could this be? my rear brakes also kinda suck now. i know i didnt get fluid on em. oh yeh, i have hydro hayes.
i just cant get shifting down, i have to let off the torque to shift (torque + gears = crunchy noises  ), then i slow down. maybe i should run fixie, i had a road bike like that.
i use a butter knife, just take some pliers and pull the removal tabs apart so you can get the butter knive in. then push em apart enough to get the disc in. how did you take the calipers apart? like totaly? you may need to re-bleed them/have them re-bled. every time i have one of my wheels off...
well, are you trying to learn a bunnyhop, or a bronco? bunnyhops are easy to learn the principal, but hard to learn the technique. just crouch down with your head over the bars, push up with your arms and legs, then as you are moving up, just pull the bike up towards you. i can get about a foot...
i want to get a good set of road tires that are really wide. right now i am looking at a set of maxxis hookworms, but they only come in 2.5. i want wider because i do alot of cement drops on a hardtail, is there wider?
okay, this might not work too good for mountain bikes, but may be a good idea for road bikes. i want to try to mill a stem out of plexiglass or acrylic stock, does it seem like a good idea?
