Ano is on it's way back, my shop just built an Ibis Mojo SL with ano Dw links, Crank bros wheels and headset spacers, all blue and a perfect match with the dials on his fox suspension, it is pretty rad.
I am a little sketched out on the Pivots because they have some unique systems like the press fit BB and the unique braze on mounted front derailleur, I just don't feel comfortable jumping into new technology that limits part selection and can turn out to be a huge pain in the ass down the road...
Thanks for the "skills course" suggestion, it was my first time down the course though and I missed the tyranny coming over the rock It just got me thinking about the angles of different size wheels approaching obstacles. I have the course dialed now though, thanks.
I started thinking too about suspension packing out on rides and realized it has no relation to wheel size, so getting a 29 FS is just about liking the riding characteristics of the wheel and maybe picking up a little extra weight over a 26. I just don't know if I can own two 29 bikes and no 26...
I have been thinking about what my next all-mountain frame purchase will be and have been considering a few different models in the 5-6 inch range, Intense 5.5, Trek Remedy, Pivot Mach 5, but something occurred to me after finishing a day riding some DH trails.
I endo'ed my SX Trail on a...
I think I just found a buyer for my '06 SX trail, so I immediately started thinking about what I am going to replace it with, and just wanted some of your guys thoughts.
I just moved from Seattle to Boise, and want to go with a little shorter travel and lighter alll mountain set up, mostly...
My best advice, just remember buying parts for bikes gets expensive real quick, just getting a tune, new chain and cassette for a bike will set you back about 120 bucks, just factor that into any used bike purchase.
I just came back from the maiden voyage of my new 29er single speed, and I have to say, it is unbelievably fun, like a fully rigid big wheel single speed kinda fun. Even though I got an epic sized pinch flat, and in the excitement of heading out the door grabbed my old patch kit, which had a...
I have absolutely no experience with them but the go-pro stand alone cams, are pretty rad, saw them at interbike and the video produced isn't bad for the investment.

That kinda makes sense, but I haven't seen spacers like that or have any idea where to find them. I think you will be fine with a standard spacer kit, but you have considered that going with a 12th in the rear gives you less chain wrap around that cog, which is less than ideal.
That's rad your moving here, I dig the town, it's pretty easy going. I'm still getting to know the freeride/downhill scene here, but it is pretty small. Hit me up when you get here and we'll go ride.
In keeping with the trendy go lighter and shorter travel theme, I want to build up a new bike. I have a 06' Spec SX Trail. It is a great bike but I just moved from the Seattle area to Boise, so my riding went from technical, rocky occasional Whistler trip to flowy, fast and less techy. I don't...
