Was an awesome time, course was pretty fun and wicked fast. Was out there racing for UCONN. Didnt have a good race run but the riding a Nstar made the trip worthwhile
I have Hayes 9's with 8" rotors but i want to run 6" rotors on the bike they are getting swapped too. What do I need to do this? Can I just run the 6" rotors?
Just installed a brand new Crank Bros Opium C Downhill Direct Set on my brand new 09 demo 8. There is play, I can rock the fork back and forth in the headtube. I installed it exactly as the directions say, step by step part by part. Pressed the headset in with a vice, and made sure everything...
Well rockshox wouldn't talk directly to me only through the shop thats handling this. So I told the shop everything the RM detectives found and they agreed that it was indeed not an 05 but an 06+fork. So they called rockshox and before even saying anything Rockshox said that they had reduced...
Na this is your first post in this thread
Calling tomorrow to confirm that I want it rebuilt, I plan on finding out why they identified it as an 05. I'll let you know
Haha whatever guys, called and asked cause it couldnt hurt. Offered pics to make sure, they said no just send it and they'll take care of it. Sent it. Got this news. If you wanna jerk off Rs make your own threads
Yes I as disclaimed in the early posts, I'm not angry at rockshox for charging me as I was not the original owner and it was an impact related problem. I am angry they are telling me it is an 05 and that they told me over the phone knowing I had no reciept and that it was more than a year old...
Yes motion control! It had a big red sticker on the crowns too that said MOTION CONTROL. The point of mentioning the decals was because someone above speculated that it was painted and then the custom decals were put over it but it came with stock from the factory decals. Haha everybody is so...
Somebody's trying to get a job at/works for rockshox.
If you guys read what I said you would understand the situation. And yes it has compression knob on top w/ floodgate so I dont see how it is an 05. Plus is is the Maxle system so again how can it be an 05. Plus custom decals were done...
That why I said it was not necessarily rockshox fault, and that I had no way of knowing it was an 05 before it was sent in. Person I bought it from was contacted and said they didn't know either. Nothing I can do. The thing about rockshox that got me angry is that they declined a picture...
So my lowers cracked on my Boxxer Team. The guy I bought it from said it was an 07 which I believed because it had 07 lowers. So I race it for year it gets a real bad crack, I have a shop call rockshox. Rockshox says send it in for a replacement or rebuild. Shop asks do you want pics cause...
My 07 Boxxer Team Lowers cracked. I don't know how, no memorable impacts but the right lower is cracked vertically down the middle. Been trying to figure out how to contact SRAM and deal with this but can't get a number or even an email address anywhere. Do they only deal through shops?
