DT Swiss showed this hub at the 2006 Eurobike exposition. It is a prototype and designed specifically for gear bikes.
Looks like the market is still too small for a 150mm SS Hub.

The Saints are not painted, they're anodized.
You will have to remove it chemically or mechanically.
I used a Dremel drum sander to remove the thin coat and different polishing tools to get the mirror finish.
A lot of work but worth it.

6000 alloys don't need any further treatment unlike 7000 series. A good (high speed disc not rag and compound!!!) polishing densifies the surface and doesn't need to be clearcoated to stay shiny.

Ordered mine end of Sept. 2007 and got it about three weeks ago. Probably one of the first ones on the other side of the pond...
I already took the powdercoat off for a subsequent polishing...
I took the guide's backplate off because it needs some minor modification to fit the frame. No ISCG on the 05 models...

Weight is measured 17,1kg with this configuration. The tires are 2,35" single ply with standard tubes (nothing for rough terrain), so proper DH tires should ad another 1kg . I'm thinking about switching to a lighter crankset, e.g. Middleburn or XT Hollowtechs...
