Here is a look at some of the major closings as of Monday morning:
VT-58 in Orleans Village toward Brownington is closed to ONE LANE due to flooding.
US-4 in Woodstock between Westerdale...
Of course, I say they rarely close the trails and just now found out that KT is completely closed today. Let's hope there's not a ton of damage before the weekend gets here.
Kingdom Trails drains/dries pretty well, they hardly ever close for rain, however most of VT is dealing with very heavy rains right now and there are multiple landslides and washed out roads through a good portion of southern VT. If it continues we may experience some of those same problems up...
This is short notice, but following up on TreeSaw's offer of airport pick-ups, if anyone is flying into Burlington and needs a ride, I can pick up and drive you over to East Burke.
Alright, so you two are gonna go ride 350 miles each to make up for all the miles we don't do, and while you do that, we'll hang around and drink your beer for you. Perfect!
I may have a non-monkey friend from MA joining us, not sure what his intentions are just yet and he may bring his family up to stay in the hotel for the weekend and just join us for some rides. I will try to keep you updated.
Hi Rob, if you're reading this!
If TreeSaw and Earl aren't able to cover you, I should have a spare bike or two and I'm also local to KT so it's easy enough to let me know on short notice.
