Here are the two coolest residents currently at my address. Both roughly two years old, both rescues.
Bugsy the pit bull
Ok man I guess you can crash in my bed.
Zeus the mutt (we believe he's got german shepherd, not sure what else)
Zeus being more comfortable than anybody on a...
Seven months ago my old apartment was broken into, and among other things, my 2002 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo was stolen. It was still my only XC sled and it had a ton of sentimental value. It was my first real (non-department store) mountain bike, did my first XC Race on it, my only 24 hour...
Kids have always had terrible taste in entertainment. And since kids are the main driving force behind popular entertainment, it too is terrible. Just like how every new generation is "the worst of all time." People don't realize how goofy the kids their age were because they were dumb as rocks...
If nothing else all this spirited debate shows just how many true contenders there are this year. I have no idea who's going to win, but I know that it will be an awesome race.
If you put a gun to my head I'd say it goes:
1. Rock Jesus (homer pick)
2. Minnaar
3. Hart
If it's so obvious he's playing "head games" or whatever to you, wouldn't it be just as obvious to the other racers? And you've still yet to explain how these head games will affect them. Gwin isn't gonna say "Oh well Sam's hurt I can show up and run chainless and win." If Hill does win, it's...
Either way, it's damn impressive and combined with the USWNT win today I'm feeling like blasting some Lee Greenwood and buying a case of those American flag Budweisers or whatever.
Just saw the standings posted on PB, looks to be 342, although math was never my strong suit (full standings at the bottom): http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Aaron-Gwin-has-won-the-Windham-DH.html
This. Saw Neko race several times at Snowshoe and some other local races in past years and he's always been pretty quiet and reserved, even in victory. Definitely not sulky/whiny.
Yeah that course looks sweet. This is a total Captain Obvious observation, but it's fairly insane how fast those dudes and ladies are through some of those gnarlier sections when they're that wet.
Just got back from stocking up for the weekend. Nothing too exciting, but still quality for me:
Wychwood Hobgoblin
Old Dominion Oak Barrel Stout
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (my old stand-by)
A very tentative top 3 at this particular moment(in no particular order):
Drive-By Truckers
Townes Van Zandt
Dinosaur Jr.
