i was wondering if you could trace out the key on the supplied rings, you could machine up a custom ring smaller than 22t and made from ti. and also run a fixed gear in the rear. but probably not.
Ummm... you are pretty much my god. Thankyou so much.
I did call sram one day and asked them about it but the guy on the phone warned me and told me it was not a good idea, not safe, and absolutely not possible. So I told him that if it was possible I'd call him back, just to say I told you...
i'm pretty particular so i want to make this happen otherwise i'll probably not even bother whit the hammerschimdt. i have a bad left thumb aswell.
is it possible though? anyone done this? anyone work at sram and know?
can you take the internal gears and what not out of the right shifter and place it in the left?
i want to run a hammerschmidt shifter on the right with my rear brake and not my front.
i'm looking for weights. actually i'm looking for the lightest.
if the weights come up just post em here.
sorry if this thread is a repeat. didn't see one like this yet.
im all for spesh going integrated. i think both ends of the shock should be bolted into a sturdy assembly like on the sxt.
s works demo race type of thing should have:
super dedicated rear axle for stiffness. post mount rear brake tucked into the frame. adj. head angle like on commencal...
qr on a dh race bike? no thankyou.
maxle or dedicated axle is neccesary.
they should make an sworks dh race bike. they could do it easy with their budget.
yea the commy is nice.
it sounds like the bike you're going to end up with is a standard bike that every company already puts out.
why does the bike always have to be pedalled up the hill? no one makes a short travle dh bike for real.
most bikes you get with 4-6 inches come with a front...
dave w: what does your axle path look like on the sunday?
if my body rode a high SP bike for a month, would it not get used to the CT movements in the bumpy corners, and landings, and stuff?
and howcome yeti is boasting rear wheel axle paths yet theirs is vertical? what a bunch of goons!
another question. what would be the lightest out of the rearward axle pathed bikes?
and what does the axle path look like on the fsr bikes like an enduro or sx?
no, i've bled many.
i've had magura and they sent me out a new master cylinder and everything and it had a small cable leak. :happydance:
im just saying, its sweet that they do that and i think anyone who can should take advantage of it.
i've got juicy 3s with 6 inch rotors and they still work wicked for dh. better than hayes hfx. the mags are better than juicy3s though. they are a pretty strong brake.
