It seems like what folks are missing is that to relaunch the brand, frames essentially have to be either china or Taiwan made, and if you want to do carbon, either it’s going with catalog frames or investing into molds that will take a decade to break even on.
I would guess the investment required to tool up and launch a new frame design doesn't make sense at the expected volumes, nor does having to sell the current bikes at ~50% off in the current marketplace, incrementally losing money on every bike sold.

(1) there is a separate slot for the bladder (and the back protector is removeable)
(2) there is a small strap to hang the bladder from to carry better and make easier to drink. The tube routes on either side out thru the shoulder

I'm with you... pads are typically 80-90% word by the time the wear begins negatively effecting the lever, and at that point, I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of the pads!
