Need some help with a new frame and old cranks....

So I've finally decided to retire my old Ironhorse Yakuza Bakuto from 2005ish. Its served me well for the coupe times a year I ride it, but I happened on a great deal on a Santa Cruz Nickel frame that I couldnt pass up. In the interest of keeping costs down, I'm re-using as many parts as I...

Hey man...I know your post is old, but I was wondering if you still have any of those hydraulic brake setups for sale? I'm looking to upgrade my mechanical set so I don't need anything high end...just reliable. I can paypal no problem. Let me know when you get a chance. Thanks! Chris

    Mt. Wilson pics from 2/18

After all the bad trail reports I'd read, I was expecting less. I thought overall the trail was in fantastic condition. I'll have to give the front side a try sometime..

    Mt. Wilson pics from 2/18

My brother and I tagged along on a shuttle of Wilson, coming down Red Box though. It was my first time and it was a ****ing blast. Almost as fun as Downieville. :) We were on our hardtails and were able to stay right on the heels of the guys on full suspension rigs. I had no idea SoCal...

    WE got any watermen here?

Surfers, bodyboarders, skimboarders, windsurfers, kiteboarders etc? I'm heading off to go skimming at Seal Beach right now, so I thought I'd ask if any of you mix it up?

    Downieville ride July1st 2006

I apoologize in advance for all the non riding pics, but it's too much work to remove them now. :) Had a pretty nice little weekend. Ended up putting about 1200 miles on the car over 4 days, and we never even left the state. Drove to Sacramento early saturday morning and met up with my...

Already booked a slot for this sunday at 2pm. :) Out of curiosity, do you know if there is a trail that links Downieville and Indian Valley?

Anybody been to Downieville yet this year?

 I'll try and do both. Funny thing is that my family has been camping in Indian Valley every summer for the last 70 years, and my grandfather was born in Dobbins worked on the HWY 49 road crew. Hell, my wife and I honeymooned in Downieville, and I have never once ridden a...

Anybody been to Downieville yet this year?

I'll be camping in Indian Valley again (like we do every year) and since both my dad and I have new bikes, we've decided to sneak away and catch the shuttle up and do the Downhill. I've never done it before, but from everything I've heard, it's a blast. Anybody have any input or advice for me?
