    Need crank/chainring sizing help!!!

I'm in desperate need of help figuring out what size chainring I need to buy, and I've found some good candidates, but I don't know how to find out if they'll match up with the one I have. Where do I measure to find out if I need the 110mm or the 130mm, or maybe I need the 64mm! I just really...

    looking for good track/commuter frames

I've been looking around, and IRO seems good. They're a really small company though. Kinda worries me. And that Windsor bike looks like it weighs more than I do. Another thing is that I really dispise threaded headsets. >.<

mid 70's yamaha enduro not running well...

:help: I recieved an old yamaha enduro 175 from my grandparents as a gift a while back, but since it had been sitting so long, it doesn't work the best. Every time I try to hit the gas, instead of the r's getting higher, the motor starts bogging down and if I don't let up immediately, the bike...

    looking for good track/commuter frames

I've been looking around, and am having trouble finding a quality ss specific road bike/frame. Hoping for something under $350 for a frame, and under $600 for a complete bike. Any suggestions? I've been looking at Leader bike frames, except i can't find anything regarding stiffness or weight...

What do you say to this?

I'm in the process of building a full XT and XTR bike for my gf (it's a present), and the other day she called. She basically told me that i'm not allowed to give her a bike:disgust: . I've already spent a couple hundred on parts though. What the hell am I supposed to do!?!?:banghead:

    my new old SS!

I'm buying a used redline ss from a guy I work with to commute to and from school/work with. I'm really excited because it'll be the first ss i've had since my schwinn powermatic bmx bike I got back in '00. :) Good times on that. Any reccomendations about the bike or helpful hints on riding ss?

    Drops with a tranny

Okay. Sounds like a plan. Works great on my full suspension bike, but my hardtail's still being a butt and dropping like a rock. I'm not even going to go into how the hartail reacts to jumps.... It's like it's hooked up with lead weights or something. haha. maybe it is! Thing weighs a ton.

    Noob to MTB racing/ cyclocross

Looking to start racing both mtb and cyclocross. I've already got a xc bike, and want to build a cyclocross bike for racing and commuting. Any tips on how to get started in either, or what to build up for cyclocross? I'd like the build to be a single speed. Thanks for your help

    Hi :)

Welcome. Hope you like the site. Just one word of advice- look out for anal jerks who are REALLY opinionated. If you find one, stear clear. :) Wish I knew that when I started here. lol.

    I need new pedals

Shimano rules. Crank bros are awesome too, but not quite as foolproof as SPD's in my opinion.

    Drops with a tranny

okay, all this helps out one of my questions. The other is, how the heck do you keep the pedals on your feet? My bike always wants to leave me. I end up with my feet a couple inches above the pedals on the landing which must kill the bike.
