so far after only a week or so on the bike im completely stoked with it, i can easily say its the best downhill bike ive ridden.
the suspension works so well through holes, roots, off cambers etc and is still fully active under braking.
as far as the maitenance on the hub im not sure yet as...
alright time to set the record straight about the jammed chain in Napier.
We finished building the bike at about 10.45pm the night before practice and then drove to the race at 6am the next day so things were fairly hectic and we never got a chance to have a good going over the bike to make...
you see this isnt quite right as far as I see it,
im a "pro" from New Zealand and I work my ass off all off-season to race internationally each year, I DONT get paid to race my bike, I pay for all my expenses myself and I dont even get paid a lot at my job yet I managed to make it to the US and...
i made some out of round alloy bar, machined them down 10mm on one end to fit inside the bar and then 25mm extension then just clamped my odi grips on them and they worked a treat, i wouldnt use them with anything apart from a lock on grip though
im only really considering fox or rock shox because i can get them cheap and they both have race support at most races which is a bonus.
Im liking the look of the revalation and it sounds like a pretty decent fork.
Im in the process of deciding what forks to run on my bike for 4X/DS?
they will be going on a Ironhorse Mk3 frame.
only want around 100mm travel i guess and not worried whether they are QR or 20mm
so any ideas, preferably fox and rock shox
my 07 sunday team arrived today and i went to set up what i thought was supposed to be a DHX5(stated in the catalogue) and its only a DHX3 so all i could do was set put some air in it.
apart from that everything is pretty sweet.
