I think the fine or penalty is minor and honestly most of the headline athletes will have this penalty budgeted. But it goes back to moral, you piss everyone off even though the affect is minor. I am for instance a working class, race pro on the weekends as a hobby, have raced WC but probably...
Yea I am not sure I understand this. First, is this an april fools joke?
Second, how is this enforced? For instance, if the old US Open were around or the current Canadian open at Crankworx, these are non-sanctioned races. Who is the UCI and USA Cycling to say we cant race that or they will...
it has been a great year for winter riding. glad to have a trail bike this year, otherwise i would be bored with the subpar snowboarding.
where is that trail, i dont recognize it from our regular northern vt trail networks?
Funny you say this, because as an east coast rider i often travel north to the quebec cup series races because there are typically more riders and faster riders at these events.
Also, you mention that the race doesnt pay out many points, so whats the point. I see it as a way to get a little...
i had a hematoma in the same spot and had the exact symptoms you describe. the only difference is that my pain and mobility struck within 6 hours of the injury. I could not bend my knee past 90 degrees for over a month. it was almost 2 months before i got full range of motion back, with a little...
i went to college and got a very educated opinion from the 120 grand i spent there. since i have justified my educated opinion i will say this.
the flatline pro has wicked cool color ways. cooler then specialized. but the specialized has riders like brad benedict adn curtis keene and...
yea big WHITE! I second this. it is a great track and its one of 2 races close to home and i am absolutely gonna have to skip for national champs. this race struggles a little being as far north as it is. i vote absolutely change the date or dont even host it cause it might be a loss...
also...
I had the same problem last year, only it was the 2010 Continental Champs and USAC only had a 2009 world cup petition form. I emailed Gullickson i believe, and he said just use the old petition form. But as i see now on the USA Cycling site, there is no petition form anymore. So best to email or...
let me put his "hate" into a more resonable perspective. Think about how much the DH bike has changed in the last 10 years. Then maybe think about how much your course has changed in the last 10 years, has it changed with the changing bike tech/speed? Todays racing is on a totally different...
oliver,
pack it and bring it with your flight. it completely depends who you get checked in by. somepeople care, others dont, some know the rules, some dont. i have found it to work in my favor about 66% of the time. usually get charged on the way there, but never been charged by another...
i have seen a number over threads on this discussion before. they have not written off yet from what i heard. what i did hear is these 2 arguements:
1. course length regulations by the uci as mentioned above. (but you can always start a minute or two down the hill, although you will miss some...
yes, it is jumpable, and it has been done by one person that i know of. but you must have a malfunctioning brain to be willing to try it. which most top riders have no problem turning off the "consequence" switch in their brain. so we will surely see some guys sending it, for better or worse.
