Hey thanks to everyone for giving me some props! and thanks again for allowing me to ride with you guys, hopefully I can get out there on saturday, but who knows. I've got my 10 year high school reunion on sat night up in ipswich, ma. so If I can find a ride from that area I'd love to go...
I was working in denver for many years, i've actually been through pagosa and must say it is very beautiful there, I wouldnt mind moving back to CO. I am a very experienced mechanic, specializing in suspension and disc brakes on mtn bikes. I am currently working at a decent shop and getting paid...
I have one of these 22mm calipers in stock at my shop, and will let it go cheap! Let me know if you are interested, the shop is Bicycle Alley in Worcester, MA and my name is Jarrod. Good Luck and Peace!
they should have come with the wheels if you purchased them new, if you got them used you should contact Mavic and they will either help you out or tell you to go to your local shop who can get them from mavic. I am not sure how they like to handle their business, if they allow general customers...
I'd love to join you guys for a romp through vietnam, I live near there and cant get enough of the place. I work at Bike Alley in worcester, ma so stop on by if you have the time.
I have run hookworms and holyrollers for dj tires , liked them both, but right now I'm on the specialized rythms, I love them for dirt and street, they hook up well for wallrides and such, and have enough of an inverted tread to hook up in even the loosest of dirt. try em out, I guarantee you'll...
Hey, I was out at Vietnam for my first time on sunday, I am impressed. There is a lot more than I expected out there. The trails were in good condition, some spots were a little wet though. I would like to know about coming out and helping with maintenance and construction, when do you guys...
Hey, I just road tripped up here this past weekend, one helluva trip. I stopped outside of Knoxville to ride at bigfoots, a small freeride area with dirt jumps, stunts, a 4x track and other cool stuff. I wanted to ride over at windrock but was unable to spend much time there. I started over at...
If your fork explodes at least you'll have some food around to munch on while you are hiking your busted self out of the woods. Hopefully you'll kill a bear, at least then you'll know you've got enough food to last a few days, and all the other creatures will think you are a badass, so they wont...
Yo monkeys, I just got done boxing up my bicycles this evening, I shall be hitting the road and heading your way about mid-week next week, I cannot wait to get back to my roots in MA and start tearing it up. I hope the snow is melted by the time I get there, I wanna go ride! see everyone soon!
nice ride, I have the same p.2 cromo frame and I love it. did you get the short or long top tube version? mines short and it feels really nice, a too much toe overlap though so barspins are difficult.
pipe cutters are ok, I dont like how they flare the tubing at the cut though, requiring filing or grinding to smooth it out. I do agree that it requires a lot less elbow grease than a hacksaw, but that is my preferred method.
I'm running 32/16, a 2:1 ratio. I ride mostly street and dirt jumping on my SS. I like the smaller diameter on the chainwheel for more clearance on ledges and other obstacles. spinning out on the DH kinda sucks but you also gotta pedal up those hills too! Experimentation is the best thing, play...
I'll hit anything big with a good tranny at the bottom, I also like skinnys and jumps, I'm sure there are some good things out at 'nam though I've never ridden there. I haven't been to lynn woods since '97, so I'm excited to see whats been happenin around there. see everyone soon. Peace.
When I was in Denver:
The flying dog Brewery
the horndog is probably my favorite
Now I'm in New Orleans:
Abita Beer
Try the restoration ale
nice hoppy IPA, and every six pack sold a dollar goes to rebuilding N'awlins
Good morning everyone. I'm glad to see so many people excited about the boston area. I grew up in Ipswich, but moved out to colorado when I was 19. I am in new Orleans now, since Katrina, and I'm planning on moving back up to MA this month. I am a Bike Mechanic, have been for almost ten years...
