Chiming in several days late to the party. H3B with only minor issues that a quick battery pull fixes...been the same as my HeroHD, so overall 98% reliable. Awesome quality, just don't expect it to work like a nightvision camera.
Thread worthless without 1080p video. Warning: Childrens...
I called a "Matt" from Fox Service yesterday regarding buying the part for our shop...claimed it was discontinued/unavailable. Thought our shop guy had an $800 TALAS paperweight with fresh seals until now. Awesome job marpilli.
Also anyone else waiting on 34 Floats...seems like there is a...
Oro brakes can use Avid fittings, newer style R1/One/RX use a different, narrower fitting. Straight from the source.
Bleeding is the same as any modern brake...goal is to remove bubbles. Use fresh DOT4 fluid, open the M/C, reset the caliper pistons (usually need to be cleaned as well), push...
I agree completely, and Noah hit things spot on. Watch your torque specs, and keep to good techniques when lubing/degreasing and you'll have a better experience overall. With intentional contamination and repeated direct impact, it could be a matter of days (worst case scenario). On average...
Rout,
Today is a bit weird because I'm traveling to Petaluma (currently in airport), but we should be able to get this figured out. Its odd that Lambert and Norco aren't carrying BBs...they're definitely available.
The DH cranks in 73mm come in 165, 170 and 175, and the 83mm shell version...
LG1+ rimz - 32h only for now
TRS+ - 24, 28, 32 in 26", 32 in 29"
As Chris mentioned, the idea behind the rims is to be as strong as aluminum and approaching carbon weight, at a fraction of the cost.
Rim Info, because you asked nicely :D
LG1+ 559g, OD 29.4mm ID 23mm
TRS+ 372g (26), 410g (29), OD 26.5mm ID 21mm
LG1R crankset uses a bit more machining, and with the new 7050 spindle weight comes down to 661g (760 w Euro BB).
We switched up to a 4mm ring size to give a bit more...
Scandium rims are crazy/light/strong.
Hubs will be available by themselves as well for you 823 diehards and ano'd rim people (myself included).
Pedals aren't the lightest/thinnest out there, but they are designed for ease of use/maintenence. Pins are going to break off, but as Chris...
DrJ,
I don't see why not. I'd probably go with some fairly long (10.6 or 12.8) steel M6 bolts...and some M6 washers. Typical chainline for the outer ring is around 54mm or so, so I would even consider spacing the crankset inward slightly (e.g. put 2.5mm BB spacer to non-driveside).
Other...
Those are the full CNC pin-placement mule prototypes that have been rocking around all season...DH race pedal that lasts. Final pedal should be a bit prettier...need to save something for Interbike right? ;)
Hi guys,
I know all of you with the '11 Demos have been waiting forever as is for the PF30 cups...but here is a quick look and review from our UK buddies.
http://factoryjackson.com/2011/07/18/review-ethirteen-dh-cranks-and-pf30-bottom-bracket/
I'll update this as soon as the PF30 cups are...
The stock Saint DH ring was changed up for 2011 so that it eliminates the chainring step (the old one used a 2mm step, at least). The new ring design works perfectly with an SRS+ or any similar full-bash setup, but I don't know if it is coming stock with new cranksets.
Old on Left, New on Right.
Slightly later than anticipated, but the LG1tr is in house! If you need to be the first kid on the block with one, feel free to give us a shout! 800.801.9936
We're scheduled to get our first batch (all colors & mounting standards) in on the 30th. I'll personally be up at St Anne, but we should be able to start shipping them out shortly after that.
Cheers,
philip @ The Hive
