You must have have one of those light, inaccurate, OG Ti Springs. I have a 3 x 475 Lbs Fox SLS spring and it's a svelte 350 Grams vs a Cane Creek 3 x 450Lbs steel spring which is 605 grams. A RCS 3 x 450 Lbs (heaviest Ti Spring on the planet) is around 450 grams.

I got a few runs on my new float 40 last week; the fork was substantially more progressive than my 2012 van 40. With 70 PSI in the air chamber I was only able to use about 6.5" of travel (I am 205 Lbs without gear.)
I just removed the air cap / volume adjuster and moved some spacers around...
