    Prototype Canyon DH Bike

@Jm_ regarding the Gambler, did you get much time on one? the feedback I've heard has been overwhelmingly positive, but I'm interested in your opinion as it's always good to get some different views from people who have spent some good time on a bike.

    Formula RO brakes

FCS solved this issue for me. Levers will have bigger throw, and they feel a little softer at bite point, but it brings them closer, not as close as i want, but i have adapted. Sorry, no access to the bike right now to measure.

    Scott Gambler 2013!

I recommend an M. Especially for the tighter flatter Aussie tracks. L is a big bike at 5' 10", but would be better for faster, rougher tracks.

    Fox Rampage Carbon reviews? Verdict?

What holds the liner in place if you cut out the rigid plastic tongue? Do you remove the whole plastic tongue? Sounds like the exact mod I need to make the helmet fit me.

    Truvativ Descendant

check the instructions on SRAM.com to see if you are missing that washer. I have the cranks. It's been a while, but I do think there is a wavy washer. Best check

    Scott Gambler 2013!

You won't regret that move. I had a 2011 DHR and totally love the new Gambler. I felt a step change in bike performance and progression in my riding. Despite a 2.5cm jump in reach I still felt the following Nicer cornering Heaps better in the rough Much easier manualing Easier to...

DVO Suspension - potential new player?

This would not work as the 203mm of stanchion outside the chassis needs to be "swallowed" by the chassis at full travel. The bushing guiding the stanchion is just behind the seal, so comes into play 10 to 20mm into the travel.

    2011 Demo Questions

They can change it alright, requires the distributor to have the special part, a shock rebuild, and the associated costs. After years of custom specialized shocks I though you guys had finally seen sense, especially on a DH bike (shock issues more likely).

    2011 Demo Questions

Hi Guys, A friend has just got a Demo I with a Van RC. He wanted to put his RC4 in the bike but it does not fit! I have spent quite a bit of time searching this thread (and others) and I cannot find any info on this incompatibility, which is strange. Basically it appears that the Demo...

2010 Marzocchi 888 Evo tuning thread

Whitley in a recent DirtTV commented that Brook "has got his suspension sorted now" implying that he was not particularly happy with it up to now. This is no confirmation of Fox damping, but is suspicious timing.

    2013 Demo 8 - 135mm vs 150mm?

I think wood booger is right Udi. From what i heard the 135mm was to add more heal clearance for Hill & Brendan's 5-10s. Offsetting the narrowed rear to one side would defeat this. Wouldn't the chain line be addressed by illuminating the top 2 cogs, I.e. it would only need to be centered in...

    Fox 40 maintenance question

I would pry those enduro seals out and chuck them in the bin. They are too hard and can wear the stanchions. Get a set of the new SKF ones. I can't comment from direct experience, but it has been alleged that the SKF ones last longer. They certainly work better.

    Fox 40 maintenance question

Don't try to pry the new SKF seals out with the stancion still inside. They are tighter than the old NOK ones and you will really really struggle to get them out and back in again.

avalanche fox 40 cartridge: its official

It's magic alright, nearly as magic as the disappearing quantity of green oil from my bottle when I had the pleasure of riding with you:) Ben, Udi was refering to the seals leaking after servicing "In both marzocchi and rockshox forks".

    SCOTT's New Gambler Photos

It's a 10.5 x 3.5 shock, and the only complicated thing about the linkage is the engineering to make the relatively simple arrangement achieve the goals of the new frame.

'12 Avid Elixir 9 VS '12 Shimano XT Brakes

I thought this was a joke, but seemingly you're serious. XT hands down. You're obviously aware that there have been issues with the Elixirs, so why even take a chance on the improved version when you can choose the XTs
