I drive past Duthie every day on my way home from work, I can't believe how good things look out there. It's cool to have these types of trails fully legit and close to the area. This is changing the kind of trails I want to ride. I used to just like hard-core downhill trails, but it's too...

Squatch wrecked my car. Oh well he was going for the win and hit the chicane with too much speed (and on a bad line). The Rainer car was sick, good use of old 5th element shocks!
Here's the banked turn they are putting on the course as the first corner. Surface will be expanded metal.
And there are some pictures of the Sonics car in the build process.
I'm building the entry for the Seattle Sonics, it's going to look like a fighter jet - so I'll be there. 20mm through axle Downhill Wheels and 8 inch Hayes brakes FTW!
The Crab Apple jumps were indeed puttin' out. The lips were solid and set to "launch" mode. I think all the A-line jumps got a little bigger with steeper lips as well. It's funny I think Crank It Up is like the way A-Line was it's original year and the jumps have slowly gotten bigger and more...
Super RAD!
That was an awesome time. For a truely Grassroots event that was better than some of the big-time productions I've been too. The trails were in great shape: all taped off and painted up. That was my first time up there and it was super fun hauling down the trails "blind" because...
Good info, reminds me of hiking Alta down in Utah pre-season to poach a little snowboarding and booter building.

And it's true that the only reason I registered was to hassle Kim, otherwise I could have just kept reading stuff and never posted. But someone needed to add the "full" story for this fine piece of work.
I bet that Kim guy spent 30 mins polishing his gogels, pulled a new pair of shoes out of the box, waxed the truck, and placed an extra helmet and gear bag with logos out - JUST for the photo. That guy used to always try and come over and ride our sweet backyard action.
