Does anyone on here have a large glory or a large flatline? If you have the time I need a few measurements for these bikes. I'd like to know the actual toptube and the downtube length, from the center of the bottom of the headtube to the center of the bb shell. Also what wheelbase do you have...
Also try retaining loctite. I have used it may times to fix ovalized headtubes. I use 609 retaining compound for headtubes that are slightly ovalized or in combination with a deep cup headset if the frame is poor shape. 630 retaining compound works well if your frame is fairly ovalized. This...
I'm running a 729 up front and a mag 30 in back. The mag 30 is heavy and loud rear rim but I just got tired of destroying 729's, I am a hack though. The big bonus of the mag 30 is being able to finish baldy runs with a flat.
I'm 6'7 and run 800mm gravity bars, 67mm marzocchi stem, and 12mm of spacers. The largest dh bike I've found is the first generation v10. My large has a 48 1/4 wheelbase.
Does anyone know if the main shock body and shaft are interchangeable between the dhx and van r? I have a dhx with a bent shaft and damaged body that I was hoping to fix with a donor van r shock.
I tried calling santa cruz a couple times today but didn't talk to anyone. Nobody has a swingarm lying around?
If I cant find a swingarm I may take you up on that. What size is it and how much?
Does anyone happen to have a first generation [2002-2004] v10 swingarm or a whole frame lying around that they want to sell? I snapped mine today and I'd like to get back riding.
Thanks, James
Hub is fine, frame is fine. The brake mount is on the dropout and the mount is not square. I did shim the adaptor so its square to the rotor now but it was not originally. The brake is on a first generation v10. The bike never made this noise with my old brakes[shimano]
I cannot get rid of the warble/vibration noise on my rear code. The front works awesome but the rear is loud as hell. I've tried 3 different rotors, avid, hayes, shimano; I've tried both sintered and organic pads. I've sanded and cleaned the rotor with alcohol and adjusted the caliper bolts...
The x-cartridge really is just bottom out, not high speed compression. It doesn't kick in until the last inch and a half of the travel. I run mine only like 3 clicks from full open since the 888rc2x already ramps up alot without it. Hey Gordon, i have a broken x cartridge lying around if you...
I heard that rumor for the first time today. From what I heard the last day for the trails is saturday. This info is from a non reputable source though.
I rode one of those bikes for a little over a year and it worked well. It was nothing special but was problem free. The geo was a little steep or me but thats my only problem. I had the "team" bike or whatever so it had tons of adjustments for the linkage and that was really nice for some courses.
Does anyone know the stock fox ifp depth in an 8.75x2.75 dhx 5? Also is it measured from the top of the resivor to the center of the ifp bolt or to the flat top of the piston?
Thanks, James
