    Niner JET9 Rocker Issue - they're breaking!

The proper course of action... Like what choice do they have? Put their heads in the sand and wait for someone to get hurt? They are obligated (to maintain their liability insurance) to let everyone know they screwed up. No kudos deserved. The proper course of action would be to...

What is the intended front derailleur setup? Down tube cable routing and a bottom pull derailleur? Is the hole in the chainstay yoke for a shift housing-stop/cable pass-through?

    sinister 'passion'

One of my hobbies is sketching up full suspension frame designs (need something to do during long project meetings :) ). Over the past few months I’ve been working on a 2-dof (degrees of freedom), single shock concept (I hesitate call it a complete design at this point). My design goals...

    D.O.C. and sovereign owners HELP???

Yup, that's me (broken neck). I don't jump or do other stunts. Just generic East coast trail riding with some small drops thrown in. With the pictured setup I get a neutral and upright riding position that I can ride for hours without neck pain. Coming from a Chameleon you will notice that...

    D.O.C. and sovereign owners HELP???

Here is my "Long" Sovereign setup for trail riding. The Stem is 70mm long with a 10deg rise and the bars are 28" wide (bar width plays into the effective cockpit length). I'm just under 6' tall with a 33" inseam and wear 36/37 sleeve length dress shirts. Arm length should be a factored in...

    Best SS conversion kit

I'm setting up my Evil Sovereign as an SS this spring and I'm planning on giving --this-- spacer kit a try. The chain tensioner looks nice too. The Sovereign has adjustable dropouts so I wont be needing a tensioner. Read a review of the spacer kit and tensioner --here--

Evil Twins (Heavy Sovereign & DOC content)

Nice Sovereign. I was wondering how the Fox 36 TALAS would look on a silver Sovereign, I like it. Though, I think it would look even nicer on the blue Sovereign with cream decals. Here is my Sovereign setup up for trail use. I typically run the saddle higher then shown in the pictures, closer...

    Question for Sovereign owners

My "Long" Sovereign is setup for trail riding. The horizontal distance from the center-top of the headset to the center of the seatpost just below the saddle is 24 inches. I'm running a 70mm stem.

    My Evil Sovereign Too

Agreed, a new saddle is on my future upgrade list. I'm actually working on my own saddle design. I should to be riding a hand crafted prototype before to long.

    My Evil Sovereign Too

To be honest, that was my old estimated weight. I now have lighter brakes, bar and fork but have a heavier stem, post and wheels. I would say that is it closer to 34 lbs then it is to 33 lbs. Either way I weight about 245 lbs on a good day (working my way down into the 230's ;) ), so relative to...

    My Evil Sovereign Too

Here is my Evil Sovereign which I recently finished rebuilding ( I hope you are not all Sovereign'ed out ;) ). It is my interpretation of an all mountain Clydesdale worthy hardtail. I broke my neck 15 years ago (crushed C5, vertebrae C4-C5-C6 are now fused together) so I do not do any...

    Quick SRAM Derailleur question

The 04's have a stamped bottom parallelogram link with a black finish. The 05's have an formed aluminum bottom parallelogram link which is well the color of aluminum (i.e. silver). The "cage" is what carries the jockey wheels and my 05 X.9 cage is silver.

    2.35 tires?

I'm curious which tubes do you guys are runing with your 2.35 Nevegals? I picked up a pair of the thin side walled 2.35 DTC foldable Nevegals (got them because they were cheap not because they were light) which I plan to run on my new wheelset (DT Swiss FR6.1d rims) which will be here next week...

    Hadley: 135x10mm TA vs. 135x10mm Ti-bolt

Simple... Hadley does not have a website...Sad but true By the way Ben at unrealcycles.com has the 108pt Hadley Ti Bolt rear hubs for $280. Ask nice and I bet he will included shipping. http://www.unrealcycles.com/item.php?view=136 Does anyone know where I can get the wrenches for a...

    My Imperial

Ouch... My frame was $802 shipped. Seems to me that if you bought the frame private sale and had it shipped over it would be cheaper, just a guess. But then you would have to wait for it of course. The silver paint has metal flakes that are somewhat reflective in the direct sun but I would not...

    My Imperial

I ride a Sovereign (long version) and love it. Mine is setup as a trail bike. I went conservative and got the Silver (matches well with black components). If I were to order mine today I would go for the street sign green with silver decals.
