Call Magura, talk to them, know what size post mount your fork has, it should be adapter number 13 that's what I have sitting here on my 2010 boxxer, and I'm relatively sure they brake mounts are the same.
it was like 70 bucks or something stupid.
In mine I took it right out of the box, put finish line stanchion lube teflo fluro crap on, then I flushed out all of the oil in the lowers, and put a mix of 50/50 rockshox red rum, and rockshox 5wt oil. I also packed the seals with slick honey grease.
I left the compression oil as from the...
I like my Oakley factory pilots. (i think thats what they're named) one layer of thin leather on the palm, and a bit of cloth and foam on the top.. Very minimal glove.
Cut the drop stop an inch, that should make it so you have it engage in the last little bit of travle, and every turn of your bottom out knob makes it engage sooner.
Other than that, slick honey the seals, and use 1/2 five weight oil 1/2 red rum in the lowers
Socom. Seriously. Or Jedi, the 65 degree head angle is about berfect for the tigher stuff, but still stable on the pinner sections. I have a socom for sale in the classifieds! :D
Makes sense to me... If you fell, and landed on the came, the pointy mount seems that it would focus all the energy into a small area, possibly puncturing the foam. Helmets are designed to absorb and re-distribute the load, and something like that on the helmet can compromise its goals...
That...
I rode a Socom all last season, and we have a Glory in our shop. From what I can tell from the in store ride (even better than a parking lot ride!) Is that the glory seems a lot more progressive than the Socom.
The front end also seems taller, and the frame over all feels a bit more compact...
Hah... Here hikers get off the trail, then apologize for getting in our way, then ask a bunch of questions about our bikes, then ask if they can watch us ride. Very nice interactions.
I just want to see a price, and some order forms. Id actually like the thing to weigh more, so unlike my Socom when I crash it, I'm not trying to cover all the pointy rocks with my body so the bike doesnt hit them.
