    I invented a new bacon-based food.

I highly recommend you try this. It's just in time for thanksgiving too. Take some nice smoked bacon, some ground beef, some pecans or pine nuts, your favorite steak seasoning and whatever else you want really. Chop the bacon up pretty small. Mix everything together to preference. The beef is...

I completely lost control of my savings.

Didn't keep the On One. So far I have the Bianchi and Eastern. The Flow Trail and 575 shipped today. The Sunday and Flow Street will be out by the end of the month. I'll snap some pics when they are all together. The Bianchi is SUPER fun. I have never ridden a carbon HT XC bike beyond a parking...

    A.d.d.

Psychologist not Psychiatrist. No MD. He is in practice with 3 neurologists and 2 pain specialists. He can get a prescription written for anything pretty easy.

    A.d.d.

According to my father a psychologist of over 30 years it does not go away with age at all. People simply learn to compensate. Edit: he also said that many other proplems are frequently misdiagnosed as ADD which often leads to different diagnoses later in life. This is especially true now as...

    Favorie brownies

Why the hell aren't pecan and magic choices? Then it would be a contest.

    A.d.d.

Anyone that says it is proven to go away with age is 100% full of crap. It is pretty common for it to go away with age though. I'll see if my dad knows a percent off the top of his head.

    cranks pissing you off too?

I'm guessing the problem with the Hussies and RF was play developing in the splines? that's because press-fit designs are flawed. If you take them on and off too many times that will happen no matter what you do. On the XT did you replace the bottom bracket cups? You can do that you know. Get...

    Ridemonkey is an Aristocracy

I was going to use the word "unfairly" but I figured "arbitrarily" was less offensive.

if gas is so expensive, why

Our traffic got worse and worse every year since I got my license. After Katrina it became unbearable. Our population grew by 90000 overnight and has stayed that way. Our city bus system is electric and propane on longer-range vehicles.

    I hate Dr. Phil but....

I make drugs for hogs. Does that count? BTW: You don't wanna know what's in your bacon.

    I hate Dr. Phil but....

I don't have class on Monday. I work for family and make a percentage of several large jobs. As long as I get it shipped out on time I'm good. I can show up whenever I want. I have outside income sources. It's not a big house. It's pretty decent though.

    Ridemonkey is an Aristocracy

Just an observation. That's all. This is the kind of crap you come up with after pulling an all-nighter doing homework.

    Ridemonkey is an Aristocracy

complete with a ruling class that uses their discretion to arbitrarily favor their friends. It's entertaining watching the heirarchy at work here.

    I hate Dr. Phil but....

I'm a student. I go for a street ride most mornings for ~30 minutes, I ride between classes every day, I session my backyard dirtjumps during lunch, I usually get an evening trail ride in, and I live on the edge of downtown and do another street ride most nights. Thanks though. I also spend at...

    Google Earth's new sky feature

I like finding big rock and alpine walls all over the world. I've got stuff tagged on Mt. Thor, the Gasherbrums, the Trango Towers, Nanga Parbat, lots of stuff in the Patagonia, stuff in the Brooks Range, etc. Pretty amazing. It would be off the charts if it was closer to real-time.

    I hate Dr. Phil but....

Monday I flipped to his show and it was pretty brilliant. Now before you say something my father is a psychologist and my mother has a masters in psychology. They and everyone they know think he gives awful advice. However the thing he had going on monday was great. He had some of the most...

    So who here takes there

My German mix goes with me every time. She's in really good shape and just really smart and obedient. She's too busy trying to herd me to get into any trouble. The longest ride she's ever been on was 26 miles in pretty hot weather. I have to take more breaks but it's worth it. FYI: They make...
