I was hoping to make it up but I already have a MTB trip planned for Douthat and the GWNF during that time. I'll probably get up to Raystown a bit later in the season. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I use this silver anti-sieze I got from the auto store. It's nasty stuff that is hard to get off if you get it anywhere that you don't want it. It works though. I've found smearing it on with a Q-tip keeps it where you want it and makes things easy.
Time to go back to math class kids :)
What you need to do is calculate Gear Inches. This takes into account wheel size. Ratios (like 2:1) are only good if you are calculating a gear for the same size wheels.
For a 44x16 on a 20" wheeled bike you are running a 51.4" gear. That's very close...
You'll need two sizes:
- the shell size which will be 68 or 73mm (measure the BB shell on the frame)
- the spindle size which will be 110mm, 113mm, etc. (measure the spindle from end to end)
When you get that done and get something accomplished, post it up here. I've been hearing talk of this for years on these boards but I haven't seen any results. What I continue to see is some people claim MORE hasn't done anything for them. Read Stiff's post, he's saying the same thing I've been...
Our club maintains trails in a lot of parks which means there is a lot of opportunity for people to come out but it also means volunteers can be quite thin at some events. Here's how I've gotten the word out and have consistently made our days get large groups of volunteers.
- Put the word...
Sorry, the 50% off notice said DVD/VHS so I assumed both were available. I corrected my earlier post.
I almost ordered it myself. Glad you caught that, I've already got a VHS copy from the last time they broadcast it!
Alright, you really can't beat this deal: The TAPE of this program is 50% off right now. Plus I found a 15% coupon online (code = WELCOME15). With shipping that comes to $13.44
Light and Motion.
I'll never buy another Nite Rider light again and can name a dozen local riders who will say the same thing. Quality and customer service both suck.
Bull**** - why would you be partially responsible? That's like saying if you flipped him off and then he pulled out a gun and shot you then you would be partially responsible. Or maybe we should use the short skirt/rapist analogy...
