Randall Scott is a reputable company, but just don't plan on returning anything to them. I purchased several bikes from them for my kids, the 3rd one I purchased didn't fit and had some issues, it was a war trying to get a Return# from them,(we had not ridden the bike of course and attempted...
Just to update, I actually got test ride a Azure expert 07, and Trance 2 07 and I think the Trance is alot more comfortable fit for me. I mentioned racing MX in my first post, I do not plan on any racing on the mnt. bike, just riding with the kids. The Azure I rode was an Expert up around...
I have almost found a new Mnt bike, now I'm looking for the Best seat..
Here is what I have found so far..
Terry Men's Fly Tri
TERRY LIBERATOR
Planet Bike ARS Anatomic Saddle
Selle Italia Turbomatic 4
Spiderflex
Not sure about the Spiderflex..
I know its a personal preference...
I have decided to just make a trip to a Bike store that stocks the Trance 2 and test ride it.. With it being the only one I can test ride within a reasonable driving distance, if it feels comfortable I"ll probably go with it. RS has the Azure Sport for 899 right now..Sounds like a great deal...
Sounds like your very partial to IH bikes. Have you ridden a Trance 2 or just completely happy with IH.
The Azure looks like it weighs in around 29.9 for the sport.. I'm not sure what an 08 Trance 2 weighs.
Here are the specs, although both bikes seem like a very good deal.
I'm leaning toward the Trance 2. But.. Iduno... as for test riding, I don't have many options.. LBS has to order the Trance, IH is just unavailable around my area.. I'm 6'1" 33" inseam. Looking for a comfortable...
I currently have an older Trek FS Fuel 70. I have found a great deal on the IH Azure Sport and the Trance 2. Both under 1,000 each NEW. Any ideas on which would be best for all around use... We ride the Sheltowee Trace trail near Laurel Lake in Ky. Just started Mnt. Biking last year...
I have a Trek Fuel 70... Would it be cost effective to pickup a Specialized FSR Frame and transfer my components from the trek to new frame, then upgrade that platform as money allows, selling off the take off parts on ebay?? or is it ridiculous and most items wouldn't fit anyway?? I also...
That was my thought exactly, I need to research derailer adjustment/tuning and find a few online tips/photos, if anyone has any good links...
Ok.. I found my first good bit of Info.. This looks much easier/simpler, cheaper than motorcycle mechanics on modern 4-strokes...
I'm about to order from Online bicycle shop(name not important).. Of course they recommend I get the "pro build".. they say the "cables need streteched", derailers properly adjusted and wheels trued... I'm new to bicycles, but not an idiot with mechanical stuff.. Will I have any "real"...
Ok.. maybe stupid question, but are most wheelsets compatable with most bikes... for instance if I pickup a used Specialized bicycle for my wife, can I throw on a set of 24" rims to make it fit her better ??
what to look for when shopping for wheel sets? Hub size or what?
Not planning on free riding the trek, just xc. I am planning on test riding a "real" DH bike though, as I'm already wanting to upgrade the trek 70 to the point that it's not worth it... I'm currently looking at the specialized FSR's.. they seem like a good do it all bike, and the Transition...
I just purchased a Lg. Trek Fuel 70 , for light off road use, and all purpose riding.. any suggestions or weak points to point out on this model.. I posted in the Freeride forum,.. but it belongs here...
The bike has no disc brakes.. So I'm wondering if there is a cost effective way to...
I finally purchased a 1st mnt. bike, 05 Trek Fuel 70. This bike doesn't have Disc brakes, but it was a good price and so far I like the bike. Any suggestions or things to watch out for on this model? I assume it would be expensive to add discs, and I would also like to raise the bars...
