i'll be out Monterey July 4-12, should be able to ride most anyday. Anybody who's around and wouldn't mind showing me a trail or too would be awesome. I'm bringing an XC bike and a FR bike, so could ride either. PM me if you can...
What's up fellow monkeys? I'm from out east and am heading to Monterey in July for about 10 days with my wife and son to visit the "Inlaws", yeaaah!
Anyway, got clearance from the wife to bring the bikes, will be shipping out the DH bike and the XC bike.
So i was wondering if any of you...
I have a Big Green Egg and it kicks A$$. It's a grill and a smoker, runs on only charcoal (hardwood, not the insta-light unless you like the taste of petrol). Because it is ceramic it's very well insulated, it works very well in all temps including below freezing. It takes me a couple months...
at least if you buy from McMaster, you could stock up on Tri-Flow or some other useful gadgets (they got more toys Brad Pitt's adopted children) and not waste on the shipping...
one wurd of advice on the Lake Fairfax/Difficult Run trails, in march unless there's been a dry spell you're likely to find large quantities of peanut butter mud, if it's been wet, try Wakefield Park in Annandale, it tends to drain a lot better.

shimming calipers over the rotors is a pain in the a$$ and why do it if you can buy self centering models?
agreed, look at juicy's...they've...
i'm not an autority on this or anything but the buyer probably has recourse through paypal if the seller misrepresents what he's selling...much like credit card disputes...
on the other hand, the buyer has to go to the effort to fight, so the seller generally has the upper hand
you could save us all the flame fest by just calling back and asking for someone else like a supervisor
it isn't the first time a CS rep got salty and it won't be the last...
actually i spoke to intense about a week ago, using doubles on the socom, they said the seat tube has too slack of an angle for the front der. to work properly...though that's just what they say...let us know if you get it to work...
Speaking of Dee-Max, I had a set for a short while that were causing my brakes to squeal, Mavic said it could have to do with spoke tension...anyone else had the same experience?
I could never get it to stop so luckily the guy I bought them from took them back...but I really wanted to keep...
