Quoted for correctness. Logic tells me that the heavier tires increases rotational mass and makes the bike more stable in the air.
I would think this is a good thing, for practically all applications.
Light tires are a trend IMO. People will realize they aren't worth the extra money.
Yeah man! That's in Worthington, and I used to work in those buildings that he did that on.
I believe he did the last building that is closest to the skate park at the bottom of the hill.
Me and my boys hit up that spot sometimes to practice our wall rides. Best structure for it :)...
I still say that Ohio is the most underestimated bike scene in the country.
Nobody ever mentions COLUMBUS where most of Hamilton's vid's that you see were shot. Specifically they took place in Westerville/Worthington Ohio and on the OSU campus. Where I still ride.
Ian Shwartz also lives and...
65MM of travel is about the lowest I would go on a frame designed around a suspension fork. Any lower and the GEO will be all wack. I'm no expert, but I speak from experience.
I lowered my fork to 55MM of travel, it was too low and the bike rode like ****. I raised it back up to around...
Guys - wouldn't it be somewhat iconic if Aitken himself produced a line of helmets? Not a rebranded "aitken" edition Pro-tec but an actual line of helmets for bmxers by bmxer's.
I'm going through rehab right now myself - and in order to get myself through it I've started building another bike but the Doctor has said I can't ride for 6 months and even then I have to go slow.
Anyways - This made me cry, serious tears. Some of you guys know how inspiring that is to see...
not to distract from that black market, because that is a STEAL.
I have an 07 Eastern Nightrain 24 for sale(these did not ship until like August of 07). It's been very lightly used and completely stock. It has an RST Space fork on it that has been lowered to around 67 mm of travel...
The 08 MOB for a little over 2 hundo is a good option.
There are some 24 cruiser completes in your price range. Are you set on having a suspension fork or rigid forks?
Do you want rim or disk brakes? Cruiser or MTBMX?
The more you lean towards a cruiser the cheaper the price gets...
That really sucks - even in the winter it sucks not having a bike.
It's probably not much comfort, but I really think you can pick up a really nice used 24" frame to build back up with your existing parts off that bike. DK General Lee's are dirt cheap and they are a solid frame on a budget.
