Do All the Pros run tubeless?
Arrow Ramped Bite Tubeless TL - the normal compound, not the slow react compound. Dakota ridge is pretty rocky and exposed, so I even pumped a couple pumps more air into each tire just to be safe - maybe that was my problem, I jinxed myself.....:mumble:- ladge

No kidding. I was asking a pro rider at a local race last year for advice when I was having flatting issues. He said he used to have the same problem, but since he has gone tubeless he hasn't had the problems. Last week at Dakota Ridge (xc ride) I was riding my Deemax/Arrow tubeless 2.5's...- ladge

Hmm, it seems like you have your first growing up decision to make. While life has no guarantees, the more diligence required at Mines should pay off more in the long run. If you were accepted into Mines that is no cheeseball accomplishment. CU is still a good school, and definitely a fun... -
More Trails Open at Keystone
Yeah I was thinking it was about an 18ish footer if you clear the wood, but the trail crew told me it was going to be something new, so it shouldn't be that floater. I don't understand why Keystone doesn't have the manpower to build these new trails? It's not like I'm seeing a lot of trail... -

I had my worst wreck of all time at that place...that would be great to see it open again! Otherwise this is just another brilliant attempt at getting our local trails shut down - bad karma having some sort of race at a Jeffco trail ( or group ride with timed decent or whatever you want to... -

Super D racing?
I tried the one in Angel Fire. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Despite some of the shortcomings, it was very worth while. I used a bullit - it has a 22/32ring+DRS setup so I could climb when required. For sure the majority of the run was downhill (singletrack and wide open fire road)... -
Resort DH
You might be going downhill, but it wouldn't be challenging at Copper/Winter Park. Copper had a "DH" race I think three years ago - the front range xc riding spots were tougher and more fun than their DH trail. If that is Copper DH, then they can keep it! :eviltongu -

I like hearing these ideas somewhat, but then again it chaps my arse that things couldn't be that simple here as well, after all I think we just all want to ride. I'm sure if the people who built the stunts could turn time back, we'd all rather have the trail to ride stunt free than no trail... -

With all due respect, that's easy for you and Transcend to say since you haven't ridden that trail for near ten years. With the other recent DH spots that have been closed, pretty soon the only decent DH around we'll have to pay for. :mumble: That trail (and others) existed for years... -

Weather Prediction NEEDED! Jan 31-Monarch Cat ski
I think you are probably right. My precip forecasts are too big to attach, but they all show "drought" conditions for the rest of January. We are doing snowcat stuff at El Diablo/Molas Pass, but waiting until later into February in hopes that the snow starts flying again by then. -

OMG. In a heartbeat. Considering DH is pretty much done after this weekend and won't be back until June 2005 in Colorado, having something a bit closer to the front range with a longer "useable" season is like a dream come true! Not to mention maybe this will alleviate some of the trail use... -

How about locks keep semi-honest people semi-honest ( but that sounds corny) ? If someone is bound and determined to rip something off and they know what they are doing, it'll get ripped off. My 3/4 inch cable and non-bic-pick-able Kryptonite lock wouldn't take me but a few seconds to get...- ladge

As my friend once said after his bike (cabled and locked) was ganked - locks only keep honest people honest. I'll keep my eyes peeled however, if I see anyone carrying any bic pens approaching my bike... :nuts:- ladge

Are any of you guys ever feel like you're 'cursed' when it comes to bike parts??
I ride with people who ride harder, but break less parts? Last 3/4 days at Keystone I've had 2 bent Azonic World Force bars and 1 bent Truvative Hussefelt. :mad: Then there's my chronic oil puking right leg of my super T, still can't figure that one out... :help: No broken derailleur...- ladge
