Cool. Thanks!
I'm not a pro on Threshhold but I can do it. I do get a little mesed up on that steep rocky step section but that's it.
I love highland and the vibe is super cool every day but felt like the vibe was stepped up on race days.
I think you convinced me to do it.
Hey,
Anybody ever done the DH race at Pat's? I'm a regular at highland (3rd year season pass) still a hack but can run all the trails there.
A buddy wants to do the race and is trying to get me to do it too. Any thoughts on the course and level of competition? I'm not saying I won't give...
The short answer is no. The easiest trails I think would still be too much for someone like that. I was there on saturday and a group of guys rented bikes, One of they guys was a pure old school XC/ride around town guy and did one run down Meadows (The easiest trail) and called it quits. First...
I agree, I'm not much of a jumper and love the Fancy/Meadow's/cat scratch combo but my favorite trail used to be Eastern Hemlock. Just enough techincal with some good ole fashion NE root/rock combo's.
I think Maiden voyage is shaping up to be my new favorite trail now.
For what it's Calfee has been making Bamboo bikes for a while now. Don't think they have done anything wih a full sus thou.

Looks very weird but in a cool way.. Can't wait to see it built up.
Teh reason why the coil measures longer is because of binding. The stroke is 3" but the coil is longer so when the shock is fully compress the coils of the spring don't touch each other and let you use ful travel.
If you change the overall Eye to Eye, Best case it will effect your geometry. a...
Check out phattire.com. They sell a complete line of manitou springs up to 750.
i'm sorry, I'm one of those fat people that actually dare show themselves outside for all the world to see.. and gasp I ride DH............
I've lost a ton of weight and don't need it anymore but Call and ask...
Have had mine for 2 seasons. Now, I'm a big guy so I don't even ook at the weight of them.
Strict DH duty and other than a slight hop in ht erear (Totally, my fault!)
I've only had to true the rear once.
Rock solid and cheap. Can't beat them.
They crazy thing is almost anything 8.5x2.5 or 9x3.. The eliminator and Recoil (m-1 style design) have a million adjustment settings. I can move the pivot point all over the place. Up and down and the main pivot (has 3 height adjsutments) and then the rear of the swingarm linkage also has 3...
So, trying to not hijack this thread for a total newbie on shock stuff but
2 questions.
I have a "extra" 5th 8.5x2.5 from my 04 bullit (bought a new one from SC when they blew them out) an the new one on my bullit.
I just picked up a Azonic eliminator frame with no shock and I put the...
66 series all the way... Look at a 06 or 07 I'm almost 290 lbs and the 66 has dual coil with dual air assist to "help" with us bigger riders.
I havn't tried a 08 66 which switched to a single sided coil and the air on the other side.
The 66 is proven and durable. Your weight is a non...
