I've been riding it (and loving it) all summer.
I have one question, does anyone know how much the Specialized stout wheel sets weigh? I may pick up a set of Bontrager race x lites and want to know how much lighter those wheels would be.
I just got back into mountain biking last season and made the switch from toe clips to clipless pedals at the beginning of the season. I took a few falls because I would forget I needed to clipout when coming to an unpassable obstacle but it only took a few rides for clipping out to become...
The next gen RS4 is going to be really nice but will be close to the 70k limit. Its hard to beat the practicality of 5 seats and all wheel drive though. I'm not sure why some people are disgaurding it considering some of the others that have been mentioned
Thats what I was asking but I think my shifters are part of the brake lever assembly. I'll double check though. No fixed gear for me though, I don't think i would survive in the woods with that set-up
Thats cool, I thought I had to replace the crank too. What do most of you do with your brake levers? Just disconnect the wire or do you get new levers?
I am planning on getting a new 29er next season and converting my old GT to a SS. It is a 94 modle and I think that is probubly the best rt. because the drivetrain can't have much more life in it. What recommendations do you have? Or what all will I need? I know these are pretty basic...
There seems to be a lot of mixed reactions in my area about 29ers. Most of the guys riding 26 full suspension bikes think they are just a fad. Today I was in a race (mostly for the experience and the t-shirt) and I noticed something. When the 29ers were passing me they were extreamly smooth...
Not bad
I am Almost willing to devorce my wife for one of these....
j/k of course
That would be the only way I could ever get one though :banghead::(
Thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for. I was dead set on a FS 26" but the ones I have been looking at (FSR, Motobecane) put me above $1000. I have noticed that there are some riding some tuff terrain on comepletely rigid 29's which is what got me thinking about them. I would probubly...
I know this has been covered and I appoligize for beating the dead horse but I want to get as much info and as many opinions as possible. I've searched and have found lots of info but I would like to get some more answers and have them all on one thread. Those of you who have made the switch...
Does anyone on here ride in the Fairmont area throughout the week? I would like to start riding some trails more often most of the guys I ride with work during the day.
