Just got finished killing my wrists and freezing my ass off for this edit with my good friend Gabi.
Or if you like Pinkbike, here.
Keep an eye on Gabi in the future, took him about five tries to nail a perfectly clicked nollie toboggan and fewer tries than that to get anything else. Took...
Roof drop 360. Over-rotated by about 50 degrees and crashed...until next time. A friend snapped it for me while filming a web video.
The bike I did it on. Two cracks in the stem but rock solid other than that.
This forum needs a street thread...
Even if the frame is super mega strong, this frame is still confusing as ****. Fixed railed seatpost and that assy-looking geo, not to mention a massive god damn carbon price tag means this thing will not be getting purchased by the frame-killer set. So why make it five pounds heavy?
I...
I've got a 36 Float with a 32 piston. Just checked, it's at 140PSI, with (I think) a maximum of 150PSI. That makes it extremely stiff, I'm about 160ish and my hobby is hucking threes to flat. Fork is at 75mm travel, if it makes a difference.
My rebound is from a 36 Van R so I can't help there...
Thanks guys!
I love the Compounds. This is the best of both pedal worlds. Plastic pedals with sealed bearings, metal pins (that thread into a metal nut, not the plastic body), and a super thin large platform. If you've never run a thin pedal, it will blow you away how much better it feels. Oh...
Peep it!
Woohoo. Love it. Colour defies explanation and photography. Here's the spec:
Frame: Deity Streetsweeper
Fork: 2007 Fox 36 Float, 2009 R internals, 2009 32 piston
Headset: FSA Impact
Stem: Snafu Totaway
Bar: Deity Black Label
Grip: Deity Enoki
Seat: Deity proto...
Just on the assumption that they did their homework, it isn't as weak as it looks, and Chubey won't die three flipwhips from now...
It's ugly as three aborted crack fetuses. God damn it. Wow.
I'm trying not to say anything about the geo because they're revising it. I really like the idea of a...
Think about how by design halflink chains have two bends in each link (per side). Now think about how that might affect the strength or stretchiness of a chain.
Mixing halflinks and standard links works fine unless you pick a fat-ass halflink and a 3/32" chain, or you're hamfisted with a chain...
3/32" rings, like the E13, are narrower (obviously), but you'll be fine, there are no ill effects.
The Profile Imperial, for instance, is also 3/32" but you never hear about that not being suitable for fat chains.
Since the smallest 104BCD ring is a 30t (made by Extralite) and that is most definitely meant for geared chains, you're **** outta luck.
Just get an E13 ring in 32t. Yes, it's 3/32", but that doesn't mean a 1/8" chain won't fit. What catastrophe do you think is going to happen exactly?
And...
