Quality Family Ride in Richmond Area

Go to Poor Farm Park, just outside of Ashland, if he digs Deep Run. There's lots of singletrack, it's a pretty setting, definitely not too bad for family.

I'm quitting my jorb to wander the country.

If you're stopping through Blacksburg, VA you can give me a holler and we'll ride through Tech campus and can hit up Brush Mountain or something.

    Blacksburg area (shock pump needed)

Just like yall said LBS was more than happy to help me out. +rep for EastCoasters. If the weather stays like this, I'm riding every afternoon this week. It's probably 75-80 and sunshine.:monkeydance:

    Blacksburg area (shock pump needed)

haha cool! I didn't even think about the LBS. I think I got too used to living in Richmond with the big businesses with small hearts. Thanks guys, hopefully I'll be riding this weekend.

    Blacksburg area (shock pump needed)

Anyone in Blacksburg area have a shock pump I could use one day? My fork is empty (got it used), and I think it just needs some air. I'm kind of pressed for cash right now and can't buy one but I could bring my bike and a 6-pack over if someone is willing to let me use one. Thanks.

    Stop that's a bad idea!

Update: Worst thing done in a while. I think the worst thing to hear is I want to be friends forever but could never imagine anything more.

    Stop that's a bad idea!

I just sent my ex a drunken email professing eternal love, can't live without, blah, blah, blah. Either best or worst thing done in a while, I guess.

    Favorite guitar players

I like to think of musical styles as emotions...Only a fool limits themself to only one. That's why I like rap, metal, blues, funk, country, classical, etc. Anyone mention the father of modern guitar, Robert Johnson? How about Kerry King? And I'll definitely second the nomination for Slash...

    the alternative personal transportation thread

I'm looking forward to years down the road. Much of the population cannot afford $10K even on a car. When we can provide trans for 3-4K, enclosed cabin, and heat, we'll be a lot closer to a solution for the masses, instead of $35k for a car or a 5K scooter that we can drive when the...

    Mary Ann likes Mary Jane

I guess she should've tried smoke signals back on the island. Or maybe we know what was growing on the island that they never wanted to leave?:busted:

Which Car Lexus IS350 or BMW 328I

I do love that heavy old thing, gas and repair bills just have dictated its demise. Last four wheeling trip cost: set of locking hubs, upper and lower ball joints both sides, universal joint-pass. side, and turn warped rotors from hitting a creek with brakes too hot. Haha. I'm sure you'll...

Which Car Lexus IS350 or BMW 328I

I used to work on cars a couple of years ago. FWIW, I saw more bimmers than lexus in my time there. That doesn't mean it's always the case, but my personal observation. Typically, it afflicted the higher end models for some reason. One of our customers had a flagship, (I forget the model)...

    Blowout.

On the way to work last year, my Bronco blew the front passenger tire. I was just getting on the bypass but was up to 55 or so when it happened. Going right was easy, left not so much. When I went to change tires, I found that the guy who sold the truck to me had security locks on the full...

    Thoughts on two-tube setup?

Alright, just got off work. I figure I'll try the ghetto tubeless using Stan's and for curiosity sake, I may try running double tubes on some cheapo rims just to see what happens. I've got two months before first race so I can iron out any bugs. I'll definitely let everyone know what happens...

    Thoughts on two-tube setup?

Thanks Westy. I just don't want to spend a lot of time on the side of the trail in a race. I'll take your advice on the setup.

    Thoughts on two-tube setup?

Obviously, the guy using it has no problems for his uses. Whether it's acceptable for mtn biking and racing is a completely different matter.
