like anyone who rides their bike...i always appreciate a nice build despite the fact that the bike of choice may or may not be my preferred ride...i still appreciate the fact that this build took...
i really enjoyed both of my makulu's. i decided to sell them both at the end of last year just to have some extra cash. i don't have any bad things to say about the makulu. it was a dream and one of my favorite bikes and i would definitely buy another one if i couldn't find anything else out...
this will be my second set of industry nine classic hubs. i think they're great hubs and super smooth. i chose these because i wanted regular spokes incase i was stuck without access to i9 spokes. but overall i'm super happy with them.
the weight is perfect right now...although i've been told...
after months of deciding and without my morewood makulu...i finally decided on a intense 951 for 2010.

my makulu came out to 37.69 lbs with the dorado and ccdb w/ti-spring on the scale. the second build with a 2010 boxxer wc was 36.7 lbs. for my own personal preference, i do enjoy the geo and feel of the makulu with the boxxer as its a bit lower on the front end.

yes i can drive my cars fast and ride my bikes fast enough. i'm fast enough to keep up with all my friends on the street and on the dirt. will i ever out drive my rs4 or out ride my makulu's...NO. i enjoy riding and driving so i will indulge on the finer things in life...as long as i can afford...

i really liked the makulu so i decided on two. one will be at my residence in canada and the other will be brought back to southern california where i spend time at my second home. (i can't be bothered to pack up and take apart my bike everytime i fly...)

yup its the real deal...2 makulu's. one was completly built today. the second wont be until the new boxxer is available. one will be a shimano bike and the other a sram bike (or back up)

so the wait is finally over...both of my makulu's arrived this morning. the first one is built and comes in at 37.78 lbs. frame with bos shock is exactly 11 lbs. the bos shock weighs 935 grams and the elka stage 5 weighs 965 grams.

i had heard that you can run the revox and ccdb ti springs on the Elka Stage 5...but thats just hear say. the elka is 475 usd which isnt alot for a rear shock if it lives up to the hype i have heard.

i got two frames incase one brakes...
i have 3 rear shocks arriving with both framesets. BOS, CCDB and Elka Stage 5. Originally the frames come with BOS. But with the lack of service facilities in canada...i decided on a CCDB and the ELKA was dirt cheap so i thought i would be fun to try one out.
