Chill out man, no need to defend yourself.
The Sunday with the DW-link is a great bike, I'm sure a lot of people, myself included, agree with you. BUT, the new '10 Sunday will most likely not be able to hold as much attention as the older one since 1. SH, or a racer of similar caliber won't be...
Thanks for the quick replies guys, can't wait to rock the new LG-1! Glad E.13 still have some love for older ISCG (despite DW's link (get it?) to ISCG 05 development).
Philip or Dave: will the new '09 guides be ISCG Old compatible? I know the guides that are on the E. Thirteen site now claim to not be compatible with pre-05 tabs, but the one you posted that looks to be the successor to the LG-1, will that one be able to fit my 06 Dirtbag with ISCG OLD tabs...
Well, I remember them testing out Gee's prototype Supreme DH bike (the green CG one with the sloped top tube). They mentioned that despite Dan and Gee running extra long stays with the adjusters to the max 10mm and the head angle to the slackest setting, those angle won't be on the production...
OK. I'm holding #79 in front of me right now. Page 106, third column over under "Beyond the Show" second paragraph down.
"This bike measures up. In terms of angles believe it or not this bike is closer to Sam Hill's bike than a production Sunday and therefore lines up remarkably close to the...
You might want to reread the article again there. Jones specifically said that although suspension design on all three bikes were entirely different they weren't too different in terms of geometry and feel. This is Gee Atherton's and Sam Hill's custom geometried race rigs, not production models...
Politics aside, they closed out a local trail out here in MD for W to ride (Rosaryville) a few days ago. Pretty cool, I think. Although he should've joined in for the trail work day.
I don't know about the Fox stuff, but the Black Box Boxxer isn't guaranteed a mass production run. Black Box tuning isn't meant to be production prototypes. They are a strict racing-equipment program whose products might trickle down to the end-users.
Although I do hope that the Black Box...
Well put there, champ. Adults usually don't make personal attacks like "tard" or questioning other's intelligence and mental state. Adults usually master the form of passive aggression rather than blatant childish name calling. Regardless though, this thread is quite entertaining to read. :clapping:
Umm...I thought that was the Blackbox Boxxer, not the production '09. I was under the impression that the '09s will still be the same (32mm, Motion Control, etc.)? :poster_oops:
I love this bike! Its on my short list for true downhill race frame for next season. However, for the top tube's lack of standover, why couldn't they've stuck with the bend of the TT like on the prototype that the Athertons ran in DIRT a few issues ago? I believe that was CG's green WC bike...
Yeah, it's not that bad if the material is durable and there are a multitude of colors to choose from. It's also only $45 shipped to the east coast. I'll probably be getting a set or two in the near future for my TEAM fork.
