Beech Mountain Finale - Trash Talk

Any rumors on what the track will be? Beginner course top to bottom I hope...if they clean up the rocks near the finish.

Beech Mountain Finale - Trash Talk

I will be racing on a 145mm travel bike with a single crown fork, front shifter and dropper post. I claim AARP DFL right now and no one can take it away from me! That was a great response, by the way, hope Andy enjoys his time with Specialized

    Bike trip?

I second what the flaming head says. Timberline has a vibe unlike any other, everybody there acted like we were doing them a favor by coming to ride their trails. Mountain creek has something for everyone, great place to progress. Platty is my favorite place to rock surf on loose shale...

The trails were near perfect yesterday (7-12). Very little mud. The lower mountain is bleeding water like crazy, but the flow is well managed. Good job Beech Mountain! Thanks to Rex Diablo for keeping me company (yeah, he's probably hooked)

I will be at Beech Friday and maybe Sunday. 2.5 Maxxis Minion DHFs or 2.35 Schwalbe Muddy Marys are my favorites. Come on out Friday. I work till 7am and will be sleep deprived so we can suffer together.

Oh, go with bigger rotors if you have them. Two full days will toast 160's. I will be there this weekend and would be happy to show you the "trail bike" lines.

I rode my 145mm rear/ 160mm front, 2x10 trail bike there all day Friday and Saturday two weeks ago and had a blast. I do recommend two ply DH tires, full face helmet and armor to taste. Yes, if you do this you will be buying a bike soon!

    CLIMB Works in Gatlinburg, TN

Rode this place today...I like it. This 2 mile loop is the "green" beginer trail and tame enough for a couple of family loops. The good news is it is 1/3 up hill, 1/3 level and 1/3 downhill, not just that constant up and down of so many machine made trails. The climb is not too hard for...

Kids trail riding bikes - Whose gote 'em and where have you taken them?

The standard BC loop for my kids/grandkids from Hardtimes...Homestead behind the lake, left up to deerfield, left on upper Pinetree, left on upper Explorer loop, down across concrete bridge, right on main rd., right on campground conector, pedal by the lake and say "hi!" To the fishermen, back...
