Well, silicone grease is slightly different to average grease. It actually is harder to dissolve in oil.... so much that is what Manitou uses to keep their SPV valves from sticking. And we've used it on field on hydrocarbon handling stuff.
I've had those soap like residues from grease on both...
Don't do that... Use fork oil.
Grease dissolves with oil, leaving a soap like residue that has high friction.
It won't hurt anything, but it will not be as good as oil.
Sorry to bring this one up... But I have a pretty ignorant question.
Can I dump a Speedstack inside a Pike?
Also, does the rebound piston on a WC is any different to the one on the Pike/Revelation series?
thank you!
Darren from Push on a thread on mtbr.com mentioned that it's a problem with the finishing of a rod and other pieces in the cart.
He obviously didn't give away a solution... oh, well, it's his biz he has to protect it.
Hi all!!
I have a Pike 454 Air U-Turn that it's clunking at top-out (both compression/rebound) when it's set at the middle of the travel adjustment... that is anything in the travel adjustment but the both ends. It doesn't clunk at either 110mm or 140mm but it will od at any other setting...
