Someone who just simply defends their beliefs is not a "fanatic", Jaydee. The book is offensive to my beliefs, though it will not undermine them or cause me to question the truth of the Bible.
I know you can't deny me the right to my own opinion, but it's like you are saying that believers...
I can't think of better advice...
I've ridden "no fear" on a little 110cc mini dirt bike, but when I wreck that I just got a little dirt on my elbow pads. It took a couple of wrecks to realize I wasn't invincible. It took an afternoon of that and a ride on my buddy's 750cc streetbike to...
"not the full-legs skinsuit..."
In, what is it, Sprung5 (2002?) I think Cedric is wearing the "skinned man" skinsuit in one muddy world cup race.... I think c-dale had him wear that cause they were introducing the "scalpel" xc bike around the same time.
about shaums jumping at seven springs
at seven springs I remember the announcer saying that Thor Wixom ponied up the cash for him to do that gap...I think that is in the "headliners" movie too.
Shaums was super cool to me that day. Earlier I stopped by his race truck and talked with him...
someone long ago (in this thread) asked for pics of the alex pong bike. I know this is the DH forum, but... it's still a pretty cool looking bike I think...

women turning their backs on the spectators? Insane. Just insane. Turning your back on all of the people who came to see you? I have no respect for that kind of "professional"... more like professional...
Good recomendations on buying a bike over the internet, but I just wanted to add a few thoughts. Make sure you know the exact model of bike you want. Like me, I LOVE yeti's, but I also know that a yeti DH9 has a long wheelbase. Should I get a DH9 for tight and twisty eastcoast riding...
I used to have a tioga tension disc... Built it in the late 90's with a 36 hole xtr and a rhyno lite. It was very cool looking but it was tough to keep true. The kevlar thread the held the sheets together was pretty old at that point. I only rode it a handful of times [I used to have a 96...
If anyone is selling the four banger PM me or email me at schwinnstr8@gmail.com: I'm not sure, but I remember that "rtfreerider" was selling a four banger... pretty good condition too. I don't know if he still is selling, but you can find him on these boards. I don't know if I spelled his name...
I'm looking to get back into riding a dirt bike again...
So just to satisfy my curiosity, does anyone know of some good dirt bike forums?? Thanks y'all
CMC :)
I have a regular 1 1/4'' silver Chris King headset(very good condition), a 1 1/4'' Marzocchi Z2 bomber (1997, 65mm or so of travel, steel steerer); some control tech 1 1/4'' stem (maybe 120mm)
as well as an UNUSED 1 1/4'' King devolution headset. If you don't wanna scrounge for 1 1/4''...
I have a new hardtail frame thats got some clearance issues with a 26" wheels... Even with a tioga 2.1, there's barely enough room to slip a sheet of paper in there. it's not the width of the chainstays that's the problem, but that the way the cnc yoke on the chainstay is made that almost clips...
thanks flyinfatman... the video coverage of that race looks ***out of this world*** I couldn't believe how professional it was, like some kind of big budget NBA game with cameras all over the place. it would have been an awesome weekend.
cool to see vanessa's win. heck, (just watching the...
is there a way to save that streaming video (the footage that was posted on the first page of this thread)? what about net-transport? will that do it? anyone convert that file to a downloadable file yet?
thanks for your help!
If I adjust "a", clockwise and counterclockwise, what am I really adjusting?
what about "b" (the space between the spring/"b"ring and the shock mount?
with "b" I can also adjust this clockwise and counterclockwise...
I flew to asia with my xc bike (still VERY heavy) on Northwest from PA. I broke the bike down but still used a "cannondale" bike box from my local shop. The Northwest counter guy in PA asked for the $75. My Mom pipes up "Oh, it's sports equipment" So the guy didn't charge me a cent. Maybe it...
