    Moto Riding

This should give you some ideas. Before you head out to a track call them to verify they have an open practice going on. Also some trails and public areas close down in the fall/winter time. Capitol forest is a good place for beginners. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/wheretoride.php?f=307

    Will this work? (ISCG Question)

I have a Giant Glory with the old style ISCG brackets. I have an e.13 SRS for a ISCG 05 standard brackets. I know it doesn't fit but I saw they make adapters. I am thinking depending on which way this sits it may or may not work. I can see if you have no brackets it would be fine. Maybe I...

DH bike for a bigger guy

I have a direct mount now and that is part of the problem. I have the taller bars which help some. I have even caught my shorts on the boxxer gate valve in midair. It is a little hairy when you get stuck in forward standing position. Thanks for the link with the geos. Looks like the...

DH bike for a bigger guy

I am looking for a bike which has a roomy rider area. My background is moto so I like DH bikes which have a bigger feel to them. In addition I am 6’3 so I am definitely looking for something which is a L or XL frame. I have a habit of getting pitched forward so I am thinking a DH bike which...

    Bar height question

I am looking to get some wider bars. Currently runing 28" I ride a Cannondale Judge and the BB height is about 14.7. I am thinking I would get something like the 745 with 38 mm rise Sunline V1. I am 6'2. Another factor is that I have a fixed direct mount stem on my Boxxer. I ride moto so...

    New Guy from Yakima Wa

You should be able to pick up a nice hard tail for about 500-800 (used) depending on what type you are looking for. IE a XC or DJ bike. A nice free ride or DH bike can cost considerably more like 2 times that used. It sounds you want to ride with your buddy so you will probably want a full...

    crazy uni video

Wow, this is a good reminder for me to wear a full face helmet and armor when doing wood stunts. I was expecting to see his face split open or even worse with those screams of horror. His buddy was pretty casual about the whole situation. Maybe he knew his buddy was a screamer. I hope he is...

    do you motocross?

Look at the lap times between the 250fs and 450fs are usually a second or two apart. Some guys are even faster like Ryan Villopoto winning the open class at MXDN. HP only helps if you can tap into it more. The Service Honda CR 500s rock. Most of late model CR 500s were more like a 450f. I...

I knew DHing would come in handy...

Cool. I have ridden a couple of those places. I would rather mix gas then shim or change valves any day. I miss my smoker. :nopity:

I knew DHing would come in handy...

Nice. Glad to see someone is still running the 2-smoker. It is a pretty rare occasion to see a 2-smoker at the moto track these days. Is that from the desert 100 pics on the bottom?

No mas de tacos por favor

Sorry if this question has been asked a thousand times before. I actually did a search first but got way too many hits. I need some strong DH rims for riding areas with drops and rocks and because the fact that I crash a lot. If I have to choose strength over weight I am fine with that...

    I was in my garage...

True but their are velocity checks also which will throw card into a fraud queue. Gas is the number CC fraud so I am not sure how many times you could repeat this transaction before it gets marked? I understand the rational but now that gas prices are high the threshold seems too low.

Most credit cards limit you to $75 bucks at the pump. If you drive a big rig you can't even fill your tank. > 17 gallons. I am not sure it makes a lot of sense since most pumps ask for a pin or zip code? A lot of places never ask for ID anyways.

Stolen Baby Blue Transition Double @ Whistler

Man that sucks. You would think the local security or police would throw out some bait with lojack bikes. It seems to be an organized crime ring up there.

    Rat Pac-Pics from the top

So I take most people ride XC friendly bikes since you pedal up? I am not sure I would want hit that drop to flat on a XC bike or even a DH rig for that matter. The first guy mentioned a shuttle I would like to try that one day. When are the gates open?
